Just another example of why we do not need private companies in our NHS.

Care UK (now Practice plus group)is one of the biggest private providers of NHS contracts. They have never paid a penny in corporaton tax since 2010 despite receiving over 1 bill in contracts.

Their services incl but are not limited to, GP practices, walk in centres, diagnostics, care homes and prison health care.

Care Uk Co founder John Nash once donated 300k to the Tory party and 21k to former health Sec Andrew Landsley.

JN also board member for the Centre for Policy Studies- a free market think tank, they lobby and have a big influence over gov policies.

They lobby for privatisation🚨 trade union reform🚨 and pension deregulation🚨 among others.

John Nash was one of 4 businessmen recruited by George Osborne in the push for austerity.

He has since sold his share in Care Uk and now resides in the House of Lords having coincidentally received a peerage.

Thanks to the revolving door Jim Easton (former NHS board commissioning board member) became MD of Care Uk in 2012

Conservative life peer Sir Stuart Rose and former Labour Health Sec Alan Milburn are now both on the advisory committee to Bridgepoint (who own Practice Plus group) Sadly vested interests in private health care are a cross party affair.

Aside from having paid no corp tax, donations to the Tory party, free market think tanks, austerity advocates and revolving doors.. are they any good, do they provide good care? In short No.
