The earliest thing we know of Garp, is that he was born in Goa Kingdom, on Dawn Island.
Here it seems he lived a life of poverty until later on.
We see here that he is depicted in a similar way to Sabo and Ace, hunting treasure and wielding a metal pipe.
We can also tell from that image, that Garp was exceptionally strong from a young age, able to tame apex predators.
Some years later, we know that he joined the Marines.
It was when he was 23 that Garp fathered Dragon, with an unknown woman. At this point in time, Garp was an established Marine of recognised great potential.
Based on how he raised Luffy & Ace to be Marines, we can assume he also raised Dragon in this way.
It would have been around this time, in his mid 20s to 30s that Garp began to form his rivalry of sorts with Roger.
We know that Garp and Roger nearly killed each other multiple times through their careers.
It would also have been in his 30s that Garp defeated Don Chinjao. By this time, already a Vice Admiral.
Garp's mentor as a Marine was most likely Kong, the current Commander In Chief of the Navy. At the time, it's likely he would have been an Admiral.
Underneath Kong would have been Sengoku, Garp and Zephyr
We know that Garp repeatedly refused the promotion of Admiral throughout his career.
It's possible that he was actually Kong's favourite to be his successor but instead Sengoku took that role.
We later learned that the reasoning for this was because as an Admiral, Garp would have become a direct subordinate to the Celestial Dragons.
As we learned during the Reverie, despite being a Marine, Garp despises the Celestial Dragons and considers them to be scumbags.
The reason for this is unclear but it most likely is due to his personal history, going back to his early days, he was depicted as having come from poverty, so he knows what it's like to live in a world of inequality.
It may also connect to the events of God Valley.
It was at God Valley that Garp became known as the 'Hero of the Marines', because he defeated Rocks D. Xebec, the most notorious pirate in modern history.
However, Garp does not like to speak of this incident, because he feels shame for it.
The seemingly most obvious implication for Garp not wanting to talk about this incident, is because he had to work with Roger to achieve it.
However, the second implication is that they fought to protect the Celestial Dragons & their slaves.
These events and the context behind them potentially give us a good insight into why Garp views the Celestials as scumbags.
Despite being opposed to inequality and slavery himself, he was forced to serve them and protect their slaves as if they were property.
Adding all this together, Garp is a principled man who believes in justice & the righteousness of the Marines, however, despite this position he hates the Celestial Dragons and the injustice they represent.
He is known as the 'Hero of the Marines' but he hates how he obtained it
That leads us to considering what Garp might do in the future.
The story is set to enter it's final saga at the end of Wano and the Balance of Power is likely to collapse.
Garp explained to us in the past, that the Balance of Power was made up of the Yonko, the Marines & the Shichibukai. Together these three super powers maintained a status quo.
The Shichibukai / Warlords have already lost their credibility and been abolished. If Kaido & Big Mom are defeated the Yonko system will lose credibility as well and collapse.
We know that if this happens, the World Government intend to launch the 'Great Cleansing'.
This will most likely be by unleashing the SSG and beginning a reign of terror.
These events are likely to lead to the World Government dropping it's mask and becoming completely tyrannical.
So logically it follows that Dragon would respond by declaring open revolution.
So what would Garp do in this scenario? I think that brings us back to the subject of Sword.
I believe that Garp is it's founder.
There's not much evidence to go on for this suggestion other than Coby being a member and this Sword organisation perfectly aligning with Garp's moral compass.
A secret group in the Marines that even other Marines don't know about.
Garp would be a perfect fit for it's founder.
But what will Sword do when the Great Cleansing begins and the Revolution follows?
I believe that Garp will call a mutiny!
If this is the case, it may go hand in hand with Dragon' efforts in the Revolution and both the actions of Garp and Dragon will pave the way for Luffy.
This may link into something Dragon may do but that's a different theory.
Attack of the Clones. 'Execute Order 66'
That's all i've got for now, thanks for reading 🙏

As 1029 approaches next week we get closer to Ch 130 & the possibility of @yuderon1's prediction on Vegapunk coming true. My own Vegapunk theory is attached to this and soon we may have an answer on his identity.
He may not be the CP0 leader but i'm almost certain he is coming!
I'm not sure how many people notice this but all of Vegapunk's experiments have a link to Wano.
The first time we hear the name, 'Joyboy' is when Robin found the Poneglyph in Fishman Island.
She comments that it seems like an apology letter. She wonders who this Joyboy could be apologising to.
Neptune later explains that that passage is addressed to the mermaid princess.
Through this conversation with Neptune, Robin asks if the hidden name of the mermaid princess might be Poseidon. Remembering the poneglyph in Skypiea indicated that Poseidon would be found on Fishman Island.
The first time we hear mention of the Will of D. Is in Drum Island. Kureha talks to Dolton about Roger's real name. Gol D. Roger.
"So the Will of D. Still lives?"
The next time we hear about 'D.' It's from Robin. After Luffy's initial defeat by Crocodile, she pulls him in the sand and asks him. Why do those with D in their name always fight?
Luffy is quite oblivious as to what the hell she's talking about
