Too much alpha

And not enough thread space

🔥🚀
Before we get into #Quant

I think it’s important we start with TCP/IP and understand this protocol better to give context to the mass scale of what $QNT is looking to achieve

First

Introducing: the fathers of the internet

Vint Cerf & Bob Kahn
It was the late 1960’s

The height of the Cold War between two nuclear-capable countries (USA & Russia).

An arm of the Department of Defense is starting research & development to build an experimental network to connect telephone lines with Pentagon- funded research institutions
The name:

ARPANET.

ARPANET, and like blockchains today, face(d) an eerily similar problem.

A single interoperability standard.
With ARPANET, there was finally a reliable and secure packet switching network to connect to

But still lacked a standard universal language to communicate through

Different devices are still not able to interoperate effectively

2 unknown DARPA Scientists changed EVERYTHING
Learning valuable lessons from the Networking Control Protocol of its predecessor

Bob & Vint built the transmission protocol standard that we all use today:

TCP/IP

TCP/IP consists of 4 layers:

-Application
-Transport
-Network
-Network Interface
Though TCP/IP was groundbreaking in its ability to be an effective interoperating transporting protocol

In 1983, TCP/IP became the new standard for all devices in government and military

Over a period of 10 years, the foundation of the internet we know of today was adopted
What is the next frontier of interoperability?

Introducing Quant’s Operating system:

Overledger
Quant’s Overledger OS is very similar to TCP/IP

In its goal to produce universal interoperability through a single shared standard.

When you get under the hood, this technology-agnostic system is *extremely* impressive.
Overledger benefits:

-allows existing blockchain and legacy systems to connect *without* having to manipulate its existing infrastructure (HUGE)

Only requiring 3 lines of code

- smart contract interoperability

(HUGE)
-a secure API that doesn’t compromise on regulations
Benefits (continued):

Overledger can also grant smart contract capability to blockchains that currently don’t possess smart contracts

For example, Bitcoin and XRP can be smart contract enabled

Opening up new possibilities for blockchains.

Ex: DeFi with non SC cryptos
Mdapps.

Overledger allows for multi-chain Dapps, allowing smart contracts to be used to their fullest capability

ushering in new potential use cases

And adding velocity to existing blockchain solutions.

Most smart contracts are basic in their nature, but this is next level.
Permissioned blockchains can also maintain the integrity of privacy on Overledger.

The user can decide who is granted commercial access to their resources, and what they want to be visible
All security is maintained with:

-TLS connectivity
- OAuth 2.0 identification
- JWS signing

This allows for a fully identifiable and encrypted network
Overledger has a patented its shared layer architecture

From what I understand, the messaging and filtering layer is patented technology
Overledger is clearly seen as a potential global standard for interoperability

How will it become a standard?

First Alpha:

ISO TC 307 $QNT
Founded by CEO Gilbert Verdian

Currently 53 countries are partnered working towards an interoperability standard for DLT

And Overledger is priming itself to lead the way

For the UK , the standards body is the BSI.

Verdian is their chairman of the Blockchain & DLT committee
Quant is also a founder of the INATBA

(International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications)

An initiative promoted by the EU’s European Blockchain Partnership

26 EU countries are members

It’s goal is to create blockchain regulation for the EU as a whole
In part one of this two part series we covered:

-TCP/IP
-It’s similarities in scope to Overledger
- Overledger’s technology
-The track that is being taken towards a global standard for interoperability

$QNT
In Part two

We will cover:

-more on Gilbert Verdian
-Partnerships
-Tokenomics

And other alpha on Quant.

Part 2 coming soon. $QNT

$STACK:

rewards and nodes 💸💻

A breakdown for anyone who is confused by the opportunity here.

// A THREAD
COST OF 1 NODE:

All $STACK nodes cost a fixed amount of $200 USD. This is paid in the token $STACK

As of right now , that is approximately 1600 stack per node (12 cents)

This amount changes based on the market price of $STACK so it floats based on the supply/demand.
For example, if the price of $STACK is 1 dollar , it will cost you 200 $STACK to generate a node instead of 1600.

This $STACK is removed from the supply and you receive an #NFT representing the node in return.

*This will allow your node to be tradeable on the open market place*

Token velocity is EXTREMELY important to the price action of a crypto

The more a crypto changes hands, the higher the velocity is

There’s a reason why payment tokens without any means of reducing velocity (lockup’s, staking, etc) struggle to see significant price appreciation
If a token is aiming to provide liquidity in large transactions ($XRP)

That’s when high token velocity can be an edge.

There’s no way $XRP can be used to it’s full utility if it’s only priced in the single digits.

(2/4)
If you’re settling 5T a day like SWIFT, you’d need a bare MINIMUM $50 $XRP to support the necessary settlement.

With current circulating supply, it would need to be $100.

In reality, you would need a significantly higher $XRP than that price to prevent any bottlenecks
