the thing about those books is they never really nail the ending of how society gets out of their dystopia

But as it stands so far? Humanity is writing their way out of dystopia pretty damn decently.

I have a shred of hope
I think my optimism comes from the recent exchange of ideas:
-- CNN guy on Joe Rogan's show.
-- But also Bari Weiss going into the CNN hornet's nest.

It's a significant moment that I very much appreciate.
I have this (smoking hot way out of league) far left friend.

And I've learned a lot from her over the years.

I thought Antifa and the DSA just did property damage.

You know how in your mind how you wish for things to be better in your life?

Don't think of it as depressing thought. It's actually good that you have a place to go, directionally forward.
"Do I suck?"

yeah probably but it's only 50 percent as bad as you think.

And everyone else? Sees you TWICE as much better than you probably are.

So it all balances out.
You don't have to be Mozart. As long as you can make a pretty good apple pie or shit like that, you're at least doing something.
