That guy is asking the same question I am, which is "what am I missing here?"
And then you see people come up with workarounds like the "bride and groom say the last two together" which is silly... The brachot are about the couple. You're not supposed to say them about *yourself*. But this is less problematic than allowing a woman?
Like, I remember someone asked me about women saying Sheva brachot, and I didn't know it was "controversial" and I couldn't think of a reason why they couldn't. And was genuinely shocked there was controversy
