LOCAL PROTESTS ADVICE/SUGGESTIONS/RESOURCES
SECTION 1
General
Every or every other Saturday, so public can look forward to your presence. Also stresses permanence of your protests. Any time of the day. For an

hour or two (more if you want).
Remember you are there to attract the public’s attention, not to repel it.
Consult with local police before you go ahead.
Take mobile phones with you.
Best to start with stationary protests – easier to engage public and an opportunity to chat,

provide entertainment such as satirical sketches,music. You can still have slogans on placards.
Be in a location which has plenty of people around – outside bus station, train station, events space (if town has one), fairly large pedestrian-only areas.
DO NOT CAUSE BLOCKAGES or

glue yourself to anything

SECTION 2 POSSIBLE ISSUES

2. THE CHAOS
Mixed,confused/confusing messaging, backtracking,

uninterested style dismissive of concerns, no clear sense of controlled direction, contradictions, slow/late to act, no sense of urgency, a sense of leaving it up to the individual - no apparent governing wisdom etc
examples: COVID messaging, opening for Xmas 2020, School

lockdowns, reopenings, masks or not.
Care homes - a general scandal - CV patients sent there, fast CV spread, late action.
Wear a mask or not - up to you.

OTHER ISSUES
COVID
It's been 90 days since freedom day.
Since then, thirteen thousand, found hundred and sixty souls have

been lost to Covid, RIP.
And approx thirteen thousand kids have been hospitalised with Covid, in England alone.

FOOD BANKS/POVERTY/AUSTERITY/UC DECREASE
'Levelling up' is

a lie. More food banks - one food bank in the year 2000 - in 2020 there were 2000 food banks with over 1,900,122 parcels distributed.

OVER-RULING THE RULE OF LAW
Dominic Raab saying he will ‘ undo’ court judgments the Govt doesn’t like. If that’s not rowing back on Democracy; I

don’t know what is. That’s a huge step towards totalitarian govt
