What am I baking today? (Part one of two…see thread.)

First one to answer correctly gets…something, I haven’t figured it out yet. Open to (reasonable)suggestions.
What am I baking today, part 2.
Update # 1: it's not banana bread.

However, if you have a banana bread recipe that includes dutched chocolate, I want it!

We have a winner!!!!

Banana Oreo Peanut Butter Brownies.

I used black dutch cocoa powder instead of regular. It's the kind of cocoa powder they use in Oreos.

When I say this powder is black, I mean...it is *black*.

Sorry!

Speaking of old folks, I got this in the mail today.

Can't wait to get those sweet, sweet travel discounts. When we're allowed to travel again.

11 hours.

That's pretty fast but it's hard to believe it took longer than the time it takes to write "fry him".
Sorry, if you aren't near a screen right now, the verdict is in in the Chauvin trial.

Also, I'd like to know how you aren't near a screen right now.
Yes, they've reached a verdict.

No, we don't know what it is yet.

I generally don't post updates about my husband's health on Twitter, but I'm asking a favor today.

For those of you who aren't aware, my husband was diagnosed with AML (acute myeloid leukemia) at the beginning of the year. 1/

➡️bethematch.org
Darius' oncology team originally thought he could be treated with chemotherapy alone. It turns out, that's not going to happen. So, he needs a stem cell transplant, but no one in his family is a match for donation.

Maybe you are? 2/

➡️ bethematch.org
Donating stem cells is not painful. It's very similar to donating blood. It takes a few hours, you don't have to travel to do it, and you could save someone's life.

I started to shovel my walk but I got tired. Luckily, it’s supposed to get warmer and turn to rain overnight so I came in to make banana bread donuts instead.

Banana Bread Donuts:

take your favorite banana bread recipe
(if you don't have a favorite, google "easy banana bread" and go with the one with the fewest ingredients)
add 2 extra eggs and 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder
scoop into donut pan
bake for 25 minutes Image
Thank you all for asking about my husband. I'm sorry I haven't been updating here. I'm updating on FB because that's where all of his family and friends are. Feel free to follow or friend me there.

Short version: he's still in the hospital.

1/ My husband has been feeling poorly for a few days and decided to go in to be tested for COVID-19.

Instead, we just found out that he has AML: acute myeloid leukemia.

Or I should say, *he* found out. Alone.

They won't let me visit him.

Because of COVID-19.
2/ You probably don't know my husband and for that, I am truly sorry that you haven't met the best man I've ever known. This is a guy who opted to work with COVID-19 patients in the ICU instead of tele-health because he couldn't just sit by and watch.

3/3 I could go on and on about how amazing he is, but I'm completely broken. Please spare a thought for my hubs tonight. He went from thinking he might have COVID to getting a bone marrow biopsy, chemotherapy, and a minimum 4-6 week hospital stay within the course of a few hours.
