1/1 Today I had the pleasure of closing Day 1 of the Stroke Foundation Course with two topics close to my ❤️#Stroke#technology everyday technologies available to utilise in stroke rehabilitation📱and in the home 🏡 #InternetOfEverything@SYBISDN
1/2 What are your top tips for using every day technologies in rehabilitation? 1️⃣ Technology is first and foremost an enabler, driven by the users needs rather than merely because its there 2️⃣Blending approaches, compliment usual care with technology gets the best of both 🌍
1/3 3️⃣Using everyday technologies to support, enable & enhance life 4️⃣ Don't panic! Ask for help we are all learning, create a community of practice with colleagues, safe place to seek help & advice 5️⃣ Understand accessibility features on your devices, use this knowledge in work
1/4 6️⃣New tech is being developed, seek opportunities to actively collaborate with developers 7️⃣Share your ideas on products, how they can be improved, do your own research, there's gaps in evidence and we need to understand what works, for who, in what contexts 🔎
1/5 8️⃣ Learn how to use your phones accessibility features so you can teach others 9️⃣App-solutely! check out @mytherappy so many apps to enable, use for treatment, lifestyle changes, health & wellbeing 🔟Give it a go! Technology is a tool to enable, it can be transformational! 🙌
