Kyrsten Sinema may be beginning to crumble regarding Biden's agenda, but it's too little, too late. Now that the agenda has been largely whittled away and is a shell of it former self, she knows like her constituents know that she didn't begin to give until her donors were happy.
It's almost certain that she will get a primary challenge. And, no matter how much donor money she gets, that will not make up for lost support. She has betrayed her voters, and everyone in America who needed her to be honorable and forthright. That bridge is now burnt.
None of her actions have been about the public good, but about her personal benefit. Her actions and those of Manchin have made the chances of retaining the majorities and the work required to do it exponentially harder. She and Manchin have acted in complete bad faith.
Politicians tend to expect for voters to have short memories and be easily distracted. But, these are strange, difficult, and extremely frightening times. The people who led stand out, and do do the ones who failed, or worse, betrayed the public.
And for those reasons, no one will forget about what she and Manchin have done.

I'll just put this out there because it's mostly on target.

The standard democratic retort "but republicans are much worse" doesn't hold water. When folks don't get what they need and they're oppressed when the democrats have power - regardless who's to blame, democratic oppression and negligence doesn't look any better than republicans'.
The democrats have been getting around to addressing those issues for years, decades, and somehow they always wind up on the back burner. And black voters have been loyal and patient, no doubt to a fault.

The republican party will never negotiate or be conciliatory. Their bitterness, revanchism, and hate won't let them. They are a diminishing demographic that feels mortally threatened, believe they are the only truly entitled, and that this nation owes them something.
Therefore, they will seize what they can, however they can, and not give up without a fight. If necessary, they will destroy everything in the process. None of this is about policy for them. It's about perpetual power and control.
And for years - decades - we have known this time was coming, yet we are surprised, shocked and unprepared. Therefore, the sooner the democrats recognize that the "business as usual mode won't cut it," and that we are locked in an internecine struggle for existence, the better.

The same white supremacy, mendacity, greed, cruelty, and power hungry madness that drives racism, spread of #COVID19, suppression of women's rights, and voter nullification also drives global warming and the sabotage of our planet.
It's the same people, with the same imperialist, colonialist, oppressive mindset, with terror in their hearts and minds of their shrinking demography, who are wrecking havoc and committing evil for their own benefit.
It odd how the people who claim to be most averse to "globalism" for the benefit of the masses to lift all board are just fine with it as long as they can second and subjugate governments like vassals, steal and horde resources, retain power, wealth, and racial superiority...

The only "alternative" view to the Holocaust is the fascist, anti-Semitic, white supremacists pretense that it never happened.
Their goal is to assuage their weak, hateful, feeble minds to absolve themselves of their misery and xenophobia of"others," while pretending that they are superior through erasing history.
It's exactly the modus operandi they have promulgated to spread race and immigrant related hate over generations.

For all of the hue and cry about the backlog goods at the ports, the inability to ship and transport merchandise, and the hundreds of thousands of jobs vacant because people are not returning to work because they realize they don't need employers who will not pay living wages...
...it seems really idiot to continue to deport people who are perfectly willing and able to fill the jobs that need so desperately to be filled across the country.

The paradigm is changing, just like the nations demographics. Resistance is futile.
Therefore, America's nationalistic, ethno-bigoted, and jingoistic hubris have real life economic ramifications. There's a huge cost associated and negative consequences with being racists and bigots not just to victims, but to white nationalists themselves.

People like Christine Todd Whitman are a big part of the problem. They keep saying that America needs candidates who are in the "center" because the nation is in the center. That is meaningless. The majority of the nation is with Biden. His agenda is supposedly not "center."
So why does she think that any democrats or even most remaining rational republicans will vote for the very centrist candidates who'll block and obstruct the agenda they need, while those cabdidates' inaction allows far right extremists to commit grand larceny with democracy?
Centrist politicians and centrist leaning voters are apparently not the same, but the politicians still haven't caught on. Centrists politicians are living in unreality.
