the reality of squid game is that it is not a critique of anything meaningful at all

Its a good show

it could be construed as pro capitalism, anti capitalism, pro communist, anti communist
Everyone is equal in the show, certainly not an element of capitalism right? Not everyone has equal abilities

But wait, to each according to their abilities?

Its not really critiquing anything
a secret billionaire in control and immune?

Sounds a lot like party elites in real world communism, also sounds like any other system ever.

Elitism, neither capitalism nor Commuinism

however
In capitalism people have to acquired power, in communism they instantly seize and wield it

either way the elites are the problem
in squid game everyone wears the same clothes

a uniform

uniforms exist under all systems, capitalist or communist
the left seems to misconstrue the core nature of free enterprise

Both capitalism and communism lead to elite corruption and oppression

Capitalism over time results in oppressive systems

Communism instantly becomes oppressive
one of the characters fled communism and ends up in the game

how is that pro either system?

It shits on both

Geoffrey is incorrect

When you say "I oppose mandates"

But then decide resources are more valuable you do not "oppose mandates"

You actually

"dislike mandates but value access to resources and are willing to accept mandates in exchange for goods"
I do not accept mandates in exchange for goods but it is, of course, nuanced

Wearing a mask for ten minutes is whatever
Wearing shoes or shirts in a store, whatever

Irreversible medical procedures?

That should not be mandated, its between you and a doctor
The issue here lost in twitter context should not be "vaccine mandates"

Do you oppose getting an irreversible medical procedure in exchange for access to goods?

If you say yes, then actually make the exchange I have to question your honesty

If you ever wonder how Germany got to the point it did look at Australia.

Insane authoritarianism, rising identitarianism, and apologists terrified of the state pretending to offer some opposition but defending camps for the 'unclean'
Claire is an apologist terrified of the state and has gradually given in.

She feigns resistance but actively supports the rise of authoritarianism
Authoritarians don't sell their ideas directly, they mask them taking gradual steps

The frogs slowly come to a boil oblivious.

A quarantine camp today houses the quarantine Protesters tomorrow

I believe Biden's perceivable weakness and the administrations inability to handle any one of our ongoing crises has given the Taliban the morale boost for the incursion

I don't believe this would happen to this degree under Trump due to his ill temper and aggressive nature
I do believe the Taliban would have still seized control in Afghanistan even if it was Trump simply because of how quickly the afghani government collapsed and fled
But Trump was a madman with his finger on the Trigger

The Taliban likely would have feared a disproportionate and immediate response.

It wouldnt have been this bad, not nearly the same

I think maybe instead of just complaining about identitarianism we need engage in the activism that would truly end racism

If you’re interested in ending racism, regardless of who engages in it email jobs@timcast.com
The complaints about white nationalists are obvious, their ideas make no sense and are detrimental to the success of the US.

But Critical race applied principles are almost the same ideology or at the very least would result in a similar end.
At certain point complaining about ideology just isn’t enough.

I’m interested in doing the educational work that focuses on education from a positive standpoint, not a negative standpoint
