As I’ve said before, regarding lawsuits against corporations, the American system of holding corporations accountable requires that people be sacrificed before anything changes, and accountability going forward is NOT the same as justice for the people already harmed.
And the ONLY people who get to say whether they consider this justice for what happened to them are the ones to whom it happened.
Just as you can’t forgive on another person’s behalf, you can’t declare that benefits that you receive equal justice for them.

There’s a real danger in narrativizing events like this, because understanding that Bad Thing X sparked Good Thing Y often becomes “Good Thing Y justifies Bad Thing X.”
And it’s bad enough that our country generally requires that someone be harmed enough to win a lawsuit—or infuriate their industry enough to form a union—without y’all declaring that improvement for YOU equals justice for THEM.
It’s worth remembering that a lot of people whose names are on famous Supreme Court cases died in poverty without the harm to them ever being repaired.
So yeah, unless your union has plans to find jobs for the people who’ve been fired or forced out, not to mention find ways to repair the harm done to the actual victims of the transphobia you keep citing, slow your roll on the “justice” language, my dude.
