1: Today we begin a week of action across the country, calling for No Borders in The NHS!

Remember and Resist!

2: We begin the week by remembering all those whose lives have been destroyed by the racist Hostile Environment, and honour them by sharing stories of their resistance in the face of cruel immigration controls.

3:Today, join Patients Not Passports campaign groups across the country holding street stalls & vigils

We remember the lives lost to hostile environment policies in the NHS Today we remember Nasar Ullah Khan,who died after being denied treatment for heart failure

4:We remember Elfreda Spencer, who died because she could not pay £30,000 upfront for chemotherapy. We remember Kelema Mulat, who died following a 6 week delay in breast cancer treatment.(cont)

5: We remember Elvis, who died of coronavirus without help because he was too scared of being charged or deported if he came forward for treatment. (cont)

6: Today we will also honour the bravery and strength of all those resisting the Hostile Environment. We stand powerfully with communities coming together against NHS charging, as we see with the Justice for Simba campaign in Sheffield (cont)

7: and in Lewisham where the parents of a school have united to call for their charges to be scrapped. We work in solidarity with the thousands of people across the country, migrants, NHS workers, community groups, people whose stories will never be shared… (cont)

8:but who fight tirelessly every day against injustices & cruelty of the Hostile Environment
Today while we remember the past, we look to each other & together know that we’re moving toward a future without the Hostile Environment, through resistance, resilience, & determination
