I've over 6+ years of experience in the software industry now.

7 mistakes I made while starting my web development journey that you shouldn't repeat.

THREAD 🧡 ↓
1. Not understanding programming concept

- If you don't remember the syntax that's fine, but remembering the concept is a must.

- If you know the concept well you can better understand when to use what.
2. Practice, Practice, Practice!

- Everything seems to be easy when you watch tutorials, read the documentation.

- I use to build fewer projects and read more but the fact is reverse works the best.
3. Build a strong portfolio of projects

- I didn't build many projects to showcase my skills.

- But the fact is that You can kill two birds with one stone. If you build projects while learning new things.

- Easy way to stand out from the rest.
4. Don’t give up

- I felt like quitting and thought to start learning about testing which was much easier.

- Remember beginnings are always hard, but once you pass this phase everything becomes fun.
- It took me less time to learn about React than Javascript.

- Once the base is clear, you will keep learning things faster than you think.

- Not stopping in the hard times is key here.
5. There is no single path

- I use to try following my friend's strategy while learning.

- But the fact is no comparison should be made with others.

- What learning path works for your friend might not be the same for everyone.
- This is no proven way of learning, Keep doing your best.

- If you are able to learn faster with different approaches, it is completely fine.
6. Challenge yourself

- I always thought about the current problems, but the fact is if you hold strong future is bright.

- Every day is an opportunity to keep learning new things.
- Get 0.1% better with learning every day.

- It will compound over time and you will notice you becoming pro at whatever you do.
7. Refuse negative talk

- I use to keep on thinking that programming is not my cup of tea, I won't be able to get better.

- But today I have over 6+ years of experience in coding and managing teams.

- If you don't believe in yourself, no one will.
