Introducing @Tungsten_DAO, an experimental meme incubation studio.
TungstenDAO will amass a collection of assets that are highly memeable, then create content that reinforces their social significance and strengthens memetic desires for these assets…
TungstenDAO will have an open submission process for original memes featuring treasury assets. DAO members will select memes they like and share on their social accounts. Any memes shared that receive 1000+ likes on an individual post within 24 hours will be minted on @withFND…
and made available for auction with 90% of proceeds going to the DAO treasury and the remaining 10% to the meme creator. A maximum of 1 meme will be minted per day.
Drawing inspiration from @nounsdao, all holders of TungstenDAO memes are members of TungstenDAO.
1 meme = 1 vote.
There are no rewards for initial members of the DAO, the first 3 members have acquired their spots by contributing assets to the DAO treasury in exchange for 4 of the first 20 memes to be minted.
The DAO treasury currently contains a 1/1 Tungsten Cube piece by @Ness_Graphics…
1 Sea Ham, 1 CryptoPochi, 3 Rare Pepe cards, the Genesis meme to be auctioned, and 1 ETH contributed by initial members. The treasury has also received anonymous donations of 3 Dickbutts and 2 CryptoFlyz, qualifying these assets for consideration by TungstenDAO meme creators.
At launch, governance will be coordinated via a members only Telegram channel but we seek to have on chain governance implemented by the time 30 memes have been minted and auctioned. The treasury is controlled exclusively via governance by holders of memes minted by TungstenDAO.
Our thesis is simple, we believe the best way to gain exposure to the cultural paradigm shift being ushered in by NFTs is owning the top pieces from the most desired sets.
We are cognizant of the concerns many have about funds entering this space and we will seek to always do right by the community. Before year’s end we aim to launch a NFT education portal, explore ways to bring more exposure to up and coming artists, launch a physical gallery in…
a major city, ensure works in our collection remain open to the public via virtual galleries, and experiment with various community building initiatives.
We strive to be good stewards of the space at large and use our influence to uplift and empower others.
