Honest assessment of Colin Powell’s legacy. He helped Bush sell Iraq to the world while the whole time cultivating the press as someone who was skeptical, emerged as a “hero.” Not very smart or brave, but good at PR, a perfect representative of what’s wrong with his profession.

As reported in Draper’s To Start a War, he never even told Bush directly that he opposed the war. Instead he told every journalist in Washington, therefore taking no risk while managing his reputation in case it went wrong. They went along because they benefited from the access.

He was aware that he owed his career to affirmative action and wasn't there to be listened to. “privately spoke of quitting, though no one believed that he would ever do so"

He later denounced Republicans when they were no longer useful and media turned decisively against them.

Reading San Fransicko by Michael Shellenberger, will interview soon. The ACLU wants to arrest people defecating on the street only if they're a "frat boy" but not if they're homeless. People obsess about their new gender ideology, ignore all the ACLU has done for public safety.

"The white attorney’s office in Berkeley had massive posters of the black prison leaders on the walls, and a staff of young white women, noted a sociologist at the time. 'All of ’em had picked one of ’em as the one that she was worshipping.'”

Few young people probably even know the story of Jim Jones, and how a cult leader who killed 907 people was a major figure in Democratic politics. If he was Nixon's buddy they would be reminded.

Many of us grew up like this. The gap between elite and working class culture in the US on race issues is vast. Even conservative elites are still elites, and most wouldn't dare to publicly defend what goes on in a normal American high school.

A story on how schools inculcate a “people of color” identity, with media encouragement. Amazing how little racial violence there is given how bad elites want to make whites into kulaks, although modern liberalism might be too feminine for that. washingtonpost.com/education/inte…

Fascinating how anyone can write this paragraph. If you’re gay, trans or non-white you’re pretty much the same thing, the only two kinds of humans are straight white Trump supporters and “other.”

Again, liberals, if you want whites to truly suffer commensurate with how much you hate them, you’re going to have to find a way to make your movement less female and gay.

I mean there’s always been a branch of the Republican Party that’s been into this apocalyptic stuff. But they used to be literate enough to know that there can be only one antichrist, and he’s a person, not a country. Lesson in how it can always get more stupid.

Affirmative action for Pat Robertson types seems like a new thing.
