The Congressional Women's Softball Game is THIS Wednesday.

It's female lawmakers vs female reporters. We play to raise $ for young survivors of breast cancer.

We're also encouraged to talk smack to gin up excitement, but I don't need to do that because we are going to win. 😃

Come on out to the game. All are welcome. It's one of few (the only?) events on Cap Hill that remains bipartisan and fun.

The lawmakers' team is led by @SenCapito + @DWStweets. They are fun. They will also be defeated by Bad News Babes. ⚾️

Sonia Sotomayor threw out a pitch one year.

So did Gabby Giffords.

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (then a Rep.) randomly did cartwheels across the field. She was 56.

I have an increasing # of friends who have gotten cancer. Some kicked it. Some did not.

I have played in this game for like 10 years to try to do something to help.

I have not really improved in 10 years. But I did get a trophy for most improved player at like year 8. 😂

Some are asking if this game will air on CSPAN. I do not know.

Also -- I've never felt a sense of satisfaction from hearing a bat smack a softball out of a park until I heard @gretchenfrazee hit last night at our scrimmage.

It was amazing. SMACK. She's a powerhouse y'all.
