1 I only mark work on lined paper so I can fit it all into one ziplock bag to carry round/ bring home. You never know when you might find a few moments to mark- I’ve marked waiting for my interviews to start!
2. All work is then tagged together. With a class list on thé front.
3. As I mark I make general comments on thé mark sheet www/ebi/SPAG/ as common errors crop up I give it a letter and then if it comes again- give that letter to the next student and make myself a key
4. I transfer marks and targets to my mark sheet to type onto my workbook at school
5. I use the WWW and EBI SPAG comments to show thé whole class for feedback
6. I take photos of good work as I go and star their name on the front sheet to give achievements/merits
7. I hand back the work with a task for the whole class to do/choose from a list
7. I keep the mark sheet until I have a few moments to input the data
I know people have their own way of doing this and I find having stickers helps not only for the students but gives my 4 year old a job to help me if I’m marking at home!
If I’m feeling super organised I collect in thé work in register order- by employing an eager student to gather them up - the student then checks all names are on the sheets.
And I use this for end of unit tests, essays or even just single paragraphs. Anything I want to look at. Then I get students to stick in book or an assessment folder…
Cover sheets often end up looking like this…
