note: this is a COO saying they will fix reporting advertisers' reporting data which is "under-reported" yet she's also directly involved in an active fraud lawsuit for allegedly hiding inflated data from advertisers now also a complaint filed with the SEC. /4
I would very much want to know mix of iOS and Android revenue in Q3 2021 vs 2020 - rest of market is headed in iOS direction. Right now, either they're either circumventing apple (unlikely), driving up prices with market power (likely), or recapturing thru Android (probably). /5

Listen to what Sandberg is saying - Facebook isn't getting full credit for conversions from ads on their platform. Publishers for years have been forced into performance metrics where Google and Facebook claim credit for the advertising. She has no answer on targeting. Ouch. /7
The most specific question yet on IDFA opt-in rate directed at Zuckerberg but CFO jumps to take it. This absolutely should be a disclosed metric considering importance to Facebook, Inc. /8
what I'm gathering is Facebook wants permission to invest many billions into a new world, to be trusted in their shaping it and not be measured for the next few years based on financial performance but on their CapEx spending. /9
question about 18-29 usage, our Gen Z study looked extremely troubling for Facebook blue and consistent with conventional wisdom and documents from whistleblower. let's see how they avoid answering question. /10

And the Senate Commerce "We're not toxic like Facebook" hearing is underway. I'll thread thoughts here but having now read written testimony, Snap uniquely stands out as an "antidote" to the problems being uncovered in Facebook. /1
super interesting data point in Snap's written I don't think I've seen previously...throttling acceleration of velocity+reach for influencers until a human reviews it. "human-reviewed and moderated before it can be viewed by more than 25 people."

3 things on latest WSJ edition of Facebook Files. (1) Joel Kaplan shouldn’t be anywhere near or have any damn influence on Facebook product design decisions. He is frankly the antithesis of the integrity you want in decisions impacting informing the public and civil society. /1
As an example, and @WillOremus has covered, Twitter specifically does NOT include its policy and public relations people in these decisions. They are reportedly only told the decisions *after* they’ve been made to avoid this exact issue at Facebook. /2
