My unpopular opinion: Feyd-Rautha is completely extraneous and can be dropped from Dune 2 without missing a narrative beat.

Especially since there’s an obvious solution: buff up Beast Rabban as the secondary antagonist; he gets the climactic knife-duel at the end of the film.
The whole “Feyd-Rautha is a narrative foil for Paul” was mostly authorial inserts, anyway, and not arising organically from the text.
