I don’t know who needs to hear this right now, but I guarantee someone does.

If you are from an abusive / toxic home and as a child had to ‘parent’ a parent:

Don’t let anyone guilt trip you for making the decision to sever contact with family. Ever.
If you grew up with a suicidal parent, that’s doubly true.

No one, not even a sibling, should fault you for prioritizing your own well-being, especially when parents won’t.

You can’t “save” them — and it’s not your burden to try.
If a sibling cuts off your parents, refrain from judgment, especially if you weren’t the caretaker.

Parent-child relationships aren’t all the same.

And sticking around often enables, not to mention lets them avoid seeking the help they need.

Don’t ask me how I know.
Abusive / suicidal parents send a clear message to a child: “you’re not worth caring for.”

But the thing is — you are.

And no one can save you but you.
It’s hard to walk away, but keep in mind:

Once you’ve removed yourself for some time, you’ll likely learn their behavior has remained.

Let that remind you: you’re obviously not “the reason” now — so you clearly weren’t the reason then.
This is so beautifully said.

Walking away doesn’t mean you hate your parents. The most loving thing you can do is:

Break the cycle.
Someday, I’ll write about this in-depth.

But not today.

To wrap up, some last thoughts…
Don’t beat yourself up for feeling guilty; it’s the normal byproduct of a bad childhood.

Focus instead on this (on God, it helps):

Be who you needed back then, for someone else.

The only way to distract Baby Satan from whatever havoc he’s wreaking is: show Qat affection.

Every. Single. Time.

I’ve never seen a kitten this jealous.
Told you
it’s ridiculous

So Gab just said the quiet Nazi part out loud, huh
“Judeo-Bolshevik” isn’t even a dog whistle, but in case you’re unfamiliar, I’m reupping an old thread for you here.

The white supremacist origins of euphemisms like “Replacement Theory,” “cultural Marxism,” “white genocide” & “Judeo-Bolshevik”

I had a horrifying revelation about Baby Satan today.

Left: 4 months old
Right: … only a matter of time
But, my friends…

… that isn’t the most horrifying Baby Satan realization I’ve had today.*

* thus far
Savannah cats aren’t technically domestic animals.

They’re hybrids.

…so…yeah.

“Say what you want about the invasion of Iraq but” uhhhhhhhh

Yes, Saddam Hussein was bad.
No, the Iraq War wasn’t worth it.

And yes, Colin Powell lied to the UN. Image
It’s not “politicizing” Colin Powell’s death to point out factual information about things that happened.

Rewriting history to fit partisan allegiance, on the other hand, is.

Fun story about Iraq and “politicizing” death.

ISIS decapitated two American friends of mine on camera, and suddenly the entire world cared enough to militate for war.

Despite, you know… all the dead Iraqi civilians.

Back in 2019, when I was targeted in a Neo Nazi murder conspiracy, a superior at my old job told students I “hysterically panicked over a threat that wasn’t credible.”

The FBI disagreed — as did the numerous state DAs that prosecuted [redacted] group members

But lol LaDy fEaRzZ
my favorite part of that story is how — right after a multi-state sting resulting in the arrest of several cells, in the middle of a pandemic —

the same superior blamed me for the Neo-Nazi assassination attempt and then told me…

…I no longer had a job.

Today’s Baby Satan Adventures: 5 AM Wheel Training, Day 2.

In which I make a compelling argument for adopting Savannah cats.

“The Perks of Owning a Savannah Cat: We’re So Fucked.”

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
At this 4.5 month point I’m just thankful that his new XL collar (purchased because he outgrew his other one… already) is *slightly* too big.

And yes, I had to get this collar for many reasons - like that LITERAL “I was born wild” part.
