Meaning the FN wife of my GGG grandfather Peter Erasmus Jr had been a resident of this part of Canada for centuries.

So any way you slice it, I’m verifiably Métis & indigenous origin. My sons can also claim Métis status genetically. But their children won’t.

I don’t deny their legitimacy, though I question whether its primary influence is libertarianism and not traditional indigenous worldview.

@fleurdelis30 @WordsandGuitar There is a case for the rejection of reconciliation. And if that’s the version of moving forward that you and that faction of FN wants, all the power to you. But you have no right to deny reconciliation on our own terms for Métis, Inuit and Non Status FN.

FN are not the only indigenous people to this nation. There are 4 indigenous peoples.

A mother who tried to hide my identity to protect me, a murdered brother who was heavily discriminated against.

I’m not going away and hiding in shame because you and others are being mean & questioning my identity. I know who I am. I don’t need FN approval.

But not every Métis and non-status FN has confidence in their identity. It’s for those people I speak out against your grift.

What you’re doing is abusive and targeted rejection to manipulate and control thoughts and behaviour. You’re extorting compliance by threatening exclusion.
