Walked the whole length of this #gotrain to find a coach not set to a temperature I'd roast potatoes at.
I honestly don't know how these people dressed like it's the middle of February are coping.
We're moving along just nicely this morning! Just leaving Pickering now.
It's a #gotrain not a #notrain day!
My bladder can't handle these one hour #gotrain rides. 😕
Best part is I arrived early enough for this!!! Treats for the family tonight.

I spent the day today with my best friend of 15 years at her home in Hamilton. Anyone who thinks subsidized housing via #OntarioWorks is living in luxury wouldn't last a day with what she puts up with.
So let's talk about living on the "dole" @fordnation. My friend left an abusive relationship in 2015 with just the clothes on her back and her two girls. She spent 45 days in a shelter before getting housing. She had $681.00 a month to run a household. Groceries ate up a third.
She tried the infamous conservative tuna diet and made use of food banks that you love to take photo ops at each food holiday to remind us all you only give a damn about the poor three times a year. It was awful. Her kids won't touch tuna anymore. It makes them nauseated.
Let's talk about autism & schoolwork, especially lengthy assignments; ones involving a series of complex tasks. Some teachers are more understanding than others. As I watch my kid struggle with yet another CAT where I've had to step in, I still question why IEPs are disregarded.
Virtual school has seen the IEP ignored each & every quadmester. Nothing is modified. When my child advocates for more time the response is "do your best". There is no "best" here. My kid is struggling. We're both stressed out by all the work & keeping it all organized. Who else?
Discussions with resource with both virtual and home school has been one of "do all you can so Jay gets the credit". Let me tell you, these teachers and support staff are all tired and it shows. Kids are struggling. The ministry has no plan for how to help kids with autism online
