People want to live healthy and decide one day to abandon all the unhealthy things they've been doing. (Drinking soda, processed meat, no exercise)
2 weeks later, they're back to square 1, telling themselves, "one thing must kill a man"
Why?
They're using the wrong method
When it comes to habits, we have to be deliberate about creating them.
All the bad habits you created up until this moment were not created in one day, how then do you think you can delete all of them in one day? That's why you fail.
We're creatures of habit, everything you do now unconsciously is a habit you built most times without knowing. You wake and reach for your phone. That's a habit.
Change them one step at a time. Don't try to do everything at the same time. It won't last.
Pick one thing
You can start with removing soda from your diet, remove triggers from your environment. Dash the soda in your fridge out.
On days when you fail, don't beat yourself over it, just pick up from where you stopped.
Replace it with something else, I started with fruit infused water

Get a job where you can work from anywhere in the world. Don't be tied down here
A couple of my friends are earning in dollars and spending in Naira, get the skills, work for a while... Japa.
These days, it's skills over degrees, especially undergraduate degrees here in Nigeria
We have people stuck in jobs with no clear career path, some because they can't afford to upgrade their skill set, others don't know what clear path to take.
One job in high demand today is data analysis. The world now makes decisions based on data except "coughs"
Data analysis spans every sector, yes including football, It was a data analyst that recommended Mo Salah to Liverpool based on data.
We already do it at some level, especially the people comparing Ronaldo and Messi. Why not earn from it instead.
I was on the streets of Lagos recently asking people, "who decides how many children a couple has?" Most men said: The man of course
Most women said: Both of us
I asked the men a second question, "How many times have you followed your female partner to a gynaecology visit?
Went ahead to ask, why though? Why haven't you been readily available for family planning visits for a decision that impacts both of you? One answered: “my own is to provide the money, her own is to go for the visit.” This mindset is prevalent in a lot of African homes
For a long time, most men especially in this world see family planning as a women's affair. Men have been rarely involved when it comes to sexuality, birth spacing, reproductive health etc. When you place that against what we have here where traditionally, men lead many homes
Tying a tourniquet above a snake bite is old fashioned advice and can lead to problems
For instance it can concentrate the venom around that body part which can lead to that body having to be cut off because of gangrene or even death because as soon as the tourniquet is released
The venom can go directly to the heart.
The most important thing after a snake bite is to KEEP CALM. The faster your heart beats, the faster the venom spreads around the body causing more harm.
2. Make sure the person CAN'T move. Movement makes blood supply to the heart faster
Do not move the body part that has been bitten.
If it is a leg, then get a stick and tie it to the other limb so that it is immovable;
If the snake bites the arm. Tie the arm to the body. Check the image below for pointers
