J&K Govt terminates service of deputy superintendent of jails, J&K prison deptt Feroz Ahmad Lone and principal of Govt boys school in Bijbehara Javid Ahmad Shah over alleged terror links, by invoking Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution of India.
J&K govt sources: DSP Lone, appointed in 2012, hatched conspiracy with terror commanders to send youths illegally into Pakistan/PoK, for weapons training before they were pushed back into Kashmir as terrorists of Hizb. Lone was working of Hizb commander Riyaz Naikoo, since killed
J&K official: It is an open secret that prisons in J&K were being used as for radicalisation and even sensational assassinations and terror plots were hatched from jail before August 2019. The facilitating role of elements like Lone had led to complete breakdown of prison system
School principal Javid, first appointed as lecturer in 1989, has been a hardcore terror supporter and was close to Hurriyat and Jamat-e-Islami (JeI). He played advisor to Hurriyat cadre and JeI working in Bijbehara in 2016 during terrorist Burhan Wani agitation.
Javid allegedly ensured Hurriyat hartal calendars were followed not only in his school but subsidiary institutions too. Javid by misusing his official position disallowed girl students of his institution to study and participate in physical education, citing it against Islam

Govt sources: Even if then West Bengal chief secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay could not attend PM’s review meeting in Kalaikunda, what prevented him from deputing a senior officer to attend review meeting on his behalf?
Central Govt functionary: Now consider the reverse – what if central Govt officers in departments like PSUs and NDMA refuse to attend meetings called by chief secretary in whole lot of situations, including calamities. Would that not amount to breakdown of federal structure?
“Further, India now has a three-tier structure -- centre, state and Panchayti Raj. What if a DM or other officers in a district or a block where rival party heads Zila Parishad or Panchayat refuses to coordinate with the Chief Secretary or other designated officers?”

Efforts of Delhi govt not up to the mark, said Bhalla. Adds that Delhi govt directed INOX to supply 98 MT to 17 hospitals while it was supplying 105 MT to 45 hospitals for long time. Also, alternative arrangements for the remaining 28 hospitals not properly tied up by Delhi govt
HS: As a result some of these hospitals have been complaining about severe shortage of medical oxygen and one hospital mentioned that some persons died because of it. This could have been avoided had proper consultations with stakeholders been done well in time by Delhi govt
