#Exvangelicals who escaped Christian Nationalism and folks who monitor the far-right have been sounding the alarm for *years*, and were at 50-bell alarms from *September 2020 onwards*.
#IAmNotOverJan6 and will not be until justice is served re the coup attempt (which is ongoing)
Many people in the US do not realize we came *very* close to a successful Christian Nationalist coup, of the sort Jorge Serrano Elias (protege of genocidist Efrain Rios Montt) attempted in 1993 in Guatemala
I bring up Guatemala, of note, because Efrain Rios Montt's genocide--and the Bucharest Progrom by the Romanian Iron Guard--*ARE* the exact model that Christian Nationalists planned for their attempted coup had they murdered Congress
People have no idea how close the United States came to a horrendously bloody period of history. The fictional Republic of Gilead pales compared to what Christian Nationalists want:
People who have claimed the election was stolen, who have hailed the seditionists as heros, have overtly called for the denationalization--and destruction--of non-Christian-Nationalists over a decade and a half ago
I grew up in, and was raised in, a Christian Nationalist church close to the US origins of the New Apostolic Reformation. I've seen this kind of thing my entire life.
#IAmNotOverJan6 and I *cannot* be because I do not want America to turn to that dark place of my youth. I do not want to live in fear for my very existence because of people who *literally* think I am being possessed by Satan.
Aaaaaaand HERE's the connection with Christian Nationalist shit (there's a reason I keep harpin' Sinema's a Fifth Columnist, and I'm about to go into the deets why--tl;dr at least one MLM is run by Christian Nationalists, and there's a lot of affinity fraud in MLMs)
So it turns out that Sinema's been getting money from a PAC associated with Alticor, which is one of the d/b/a's used by AmWay....the largest MLM worldwide, and one I've personally written about re its Christian Nationalist linkages
So for those who didn't read article, or read my post: AmWay has an extremely long history (from its founding) of entanglement with Christian Nationalism, and particularly New Apostolic Reformation style Christian Nationalism. Three of its four major downlines,

So, a brief history of time...or at least daylight savings time...for those who may wonder "why do we even do DST, and why don't we just go to standard time"
(assuming you're not in non-tribal lands in AZ or Hawaii, that is)
So the US did not actually (as a whole) do DST on a national basis until 1918, and contrary to the old yarn that it was meant to help farmers...the first DST law was a wartime measure to conserve coal (and only lasted for two years).
And as it was, farmers actually *DESPISED* DST (because it threw their schedules off, and those of their livestock), so despite what Woodrow Wilson wanted, it went away and stayed away until World War II.
When WWII came around, we ended up with year-round DST;

@LabyrinthWeaver Don't blame all Kentuckians. There is a significant group of us who've TRIED to get him out (in fact, I've voted against him every election I could, and he's been in office since before I hit puberty).
The whole "voting out" is tricker than it seems, though:

@LabyrinthWeaver 1) Kentucky has the highest rate of African-American voter disenfrancisement in the US (upwards of 24% *permanently* barred from voting due to felony disenfranchisement, mostly for nonviolent drug offenses). The ONLY way to get civil rights restored is governor pardon
2/x
@LabyrinthWeaver Kentucky also--until this year--did not have any usable means of early or absentee voting (and even this year you had to note "covid" as an excuse--and the General Assembly is about to roll even this back to old rules). Even in-person absentee voting is normally unavailable

@BrettKunkle OK, first off: Dominionsm and "Christian Nationalism" are so extensive that it is probably *not actually practical* to make a list in Twitter of all names, but...
For starters: Read up on the New Apostolic Reformation (yes, all of it).

@BrettKunkle Rick Joyner, Lou Engle, Metaxas, Scott Feuchter, Cindy Jacobs, Rodney Howard-Browne, the International Coalition of Apostles, Patriot Prayer Network, various "apostolic" councils.
@brucewilson I am probably less surprised than most, but largely because I knew the NAR (and its proto-NAR incarnations like Latter Rain and especially Manifest Sons of God) are literally "sister movements" to Christian Identity (and still engage in some non-negligible cross-fertilisation).
@brucewilson Specifically with Serpent Seed theology (which was originally both racist *and* religious-supremacist; the NAR ran with the "spiritual/literally sons of God or the Devil" aspects from Branhamism, Christian Identity ran with the racist aspects).
@brucewilson There's also been a lot of crypto-anti-Semitism basically on how the only "real Jewish people" are Orthodox or (preferably) Messianic, preferably Ashkenazim, and willing to make Aliyah; Reform/Reconstruction/Conservative Judaism, and even Orthodox disagreeing with
