Herbert Diess CEO VW Group position questioned from the mighty worker council in pre talks of the supervisory meeting

"The company is blocked"

A mediation committee is set up in the Supervisory Board

A process started that can cost Diess his job
Worker Council speaker,

"Constructive and confidential discussions are currently underway. Any results will be communicated in due course."

According to sources the core of the dispute is Diess' demand for speed in the restructuring of the Group
Diess' position within the VW Group is at risk in view of the weak quarterly results & BEV sales falling short of expectations

In addition to the worker council, Diess is also in dispute with the state of Lower Saxony, which has a seat on the advisory board and 20% voting rights
The sentiment is negative, according to the Handelsblatt, leading executives are said to have even expressed their lack of confidence in Diess at a meeting last week

The VW stock lost 4% today

VW Employee meeting Wolfsburg

Worker Council Head Cavallo "My aspiration is that our main plant will continue to be the engine for the Group in the future." To achieve this it is crucial to combine the most modern production, the best personnel & the greatest pioneering spirit
She continued, " manufacturing, efficiency and sustainability would have to go hand in hand, at the end of which the Group's largest unit volumes would be produced"

"There is not one person too many on board here,"

'Not one job is negotiable', Cavallo said.
Herbert Diess responded, "I want your children & grandchildren to still be able to have a secure job here with us in Wolfsburg after 2030"

'However the jobs that exist today will certainly become fewer within the next 10 - 15 years especially in administration at Group level ..

Congratulations to Herbert Diess for inviting Musk and thanks to Elon for supporting the German auto industry.

Great move for both of you!
Looking at the body language and facial expressions/gestures, I would have to say that the interest in listening and learning looks different 😕
CEO Diess "We in this room have to deliver and make sure that VW is a powerful and successful group by the end of the decade. I am very happy with my team. It's my dream team, the best in the auto industry. I would like to thank you all"

Dream team? 🤨

The new 🇩🇪 government coalition of SPD, FDP and Greens has agreed that no new ICE registrations will be allowed before 2035

ICE sales will cease in 14 years at the latest!

Hey, German automakers - it's time to hurry up
German highways will remain without speed limit!

The consequence is that you can drive up to 160km/h 🙄 with most BEVs, but if you own a Tesla easily above 200km/h

Time to consider a Plaid 😂
Furthermore, all suitable roof surfaces are to be used for solar energy, mandatory for new commercial buildings, for private generally

2 % of the state's land is to be designated for wind power. Further areas are to be added at sea

Only Top Execs % Board Members are present

"We in this room have to deliver and make sure that VW is a powerful & successful group by the end of the decade. I am very happy with my team. It's my dream team...
... the best in the auto industry. I would like to thank you all. Why is the boss so nervous all the time, though? Often so pushy and hard? Because I'm worried." It is a "crucial time for the company" right now, with many good decisions having been made...
Diess continued,

"In the old world, we are invincible and successful. But in the new world, that's not guaranteed."

A former Porsche engineer responsible for the Taycan leaked that the battery has a problem with charging power at and below 7.5 kW

It happens that the battery is damaged, and as a result, Porsche has already scrapped a number of Taycan vehicles

Repair is not an option
He explained that they made a mistake in the development of Taycan's charging management system

Several battery fires of the Taycan, as well as the E-tron GT (same platform), could be related to this fatal error

If you own a Taycan make sure it's not charged at 7.5kw or below
Porsche has silently exchanged the Taycans according to my source when the issue happened but it never leaked and was not reported about from the media before

If true then it's a severe safety issue the authorities should go after @BMVI
