Bingo! This is why pushing things that make us uncomfortable into the shadows is a big mistake! This happens all the time with sexuality. People go, eww sex, and so we shame it into the shadows out of our own desire to avoid our sexual shadows.

2. Shaming sex to the shadows only compounds wounding, ignorance and abuse because the people who would use it for light mistake it for inherently evil, due to generations of religious and political programming meant to shame us away from our sexual sovereignty.
3. Sexual shame programing makes people focus on "moral" crusades against things like adult sexual content, or judging other peoples consenting sex life's all while things like that UN story of sexually abusing kids for food go largely unnoticed because people are superficial.
4. This creates a terrible disconnect and bastardization of real issues. And what burns me up more than anything is when people use the "save the children" as a shield to go on their own reactionary and cancel culture crusades.
5. Most people who constantly complain about sex are not complaining about the real issues, they are just projecting their own wounded shame and fear because they were unjustly shamed or judged. This is why healing our sexual shame is so important!
6. Its not ok that so many of us grew up with so much shame around our perfectly natural and healthy sexual energy. Once you heal enough your sexual discernment increases and you are no longer triggered over what you see as "disgusting". Instead you care about the real issues.
7. Sexual shaming, fear and ignorance is the core problem that only helps manifest other sexual issues. When people understand this they won't be offended by, oh no this comic book character is to sexualized, like the cancel culture left or reactionary religious right tend to do.
