How many @BrookingsInst folks have been involved in the horrific 2016 lie that Trump colluded with Russia to steal the election or the larger operation to use the lie to undermine Trump? Want to get the full list together.
For instance, I heard Dr. Boom Boom von Tick Tock claim he didn't really know Igor Danchenko, his Brookings colleague who was recently indicted for some of his lies in the Russiagate scandal. But obviously he (@benjaminwittes) was a huge player in the operation.

I vaguely recall Franklin Foer defending his regurgitation of the DNC info op on the Alfa Bank long after it was debunked .... with another article. But I can't find it. Was it someone else who did that? Anyone remember this? Did I just nightmare that this happened?
I don't mean like this time in the middle of the frenzied hysteria that he went out of his way to remind everyone of his early participation in the DNC op, but an actual additional piece.
Reader found it -- it was published by @JeffreyGoldberg in The Atlantic, which went on to do the 2020 unsubstantiated/debunked Aisne Marne "soldiers are losers" hoax in order to meddle in the 2020 outcome. Almost like there's a pattern... theatlantic.com/politics/archi…

Nancy Pelosi's archbishop responds to her statement today in support of killing unborn children: "Let me repeat: no one can claim to be a devout Catholic and condone the killing of innocent human life, let alone have the government pay for it." sfarchdiocese.org/letters-and-st…
"The right to life is a fundamental – the most fundamental – human right, and Catholics do not oppose fundamental human rights. To use smokescreen of abortion as an issue of health and fairness to poor women is epitome of hypocrisy: what about health of the baby being killed?"
"What @ giving poor women real choice, so they are supported in choosing life? This would give them fairness and equality to women of means, who can afford to bring a child into the world. It is people of faith who run pro-life crisis pregnancy clinics; they are the only ones..."

"We said all along this was a purely partisan exercise by Democrats. Nancy Pelosi’s rejection of me and Jim Jordan shows once again she is most partisan figure in America today. American people deserve truth. Unfortunately, Spkr. Pelosi is afraid of the facts." -- Rep. Jim Banks
Stefanik 🔥🔥🔥 on "Nancy Pelosi, the Radical Authoritarian Speaker of the House": "the Pelosi partisan Jan 6th commission was never about investigating facts, was only ever about Pelosi's radical politics and the Left's endless obsession with crushing any discussion or debate."
More🔥from Stefanik: "This commission is an absolute sham and has been a disgrace from the beginning; no amount of drooling excuses from the mainstream media will change that."

1) MPD reportedly used tear gas night before, when clearing "peaceful protesters" in order to save historic church, claim it wasn't part of pre-Trump clearing next day.
2) Park Police said used pepper balls (which media used to say was different than tear gas but now say is same)
Back when rioting was 100% supported by media, days of violence in DC. One night, the "peaceful protesters" set historic St. John's on fire and MPD, not Trump admin, used tear gas to get fire trucks in to save it. That's a different event than early evening clearing of Lafayette
For that clearing, media specifically claimed "CS" gas was used. Park Police said it wasn't, used smoke bombs and pepper balls. Media then claimed that even though they repeatedly used to say pepper spray was different than tear gas, that now it was same. thefederalist.com/2020/06/03/aft…

When the media and other prominent Democrats all the way up to Hillary Clinton and Jimmy Carter spent four years hysterically repeating that Donald Trump was a traitor who colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election, we didn't call that a "big lie." Why is that?
That lie was used to win multiple elections. It *dominated* news, with daily updates suggesting it was somehow true. It was used to bully weak Republicans away from an agenda. And for telling the lie, the media gave itself many awards. But for some reason it wasn't called a lie.
But in an election when media invented fake stories (Afghan bounties, Aisne Marne), suppressed real ones (Biden family corruption), pushed fake polls, unprecedented tech censorship silenced opposition, and there was a "revolution" in voting, you can have no questions? Convenient!
