🧵Based on the CBP data there were 43,570 encounters in the Del Rio Sector in September, up from 33,062 in August. Of these,15,951 were Haitians, up from 5,185 in August. Of the 15,951 Haitians, 6,215 were subject to Title 42 ( 39%) and 9,736 (61%) subject to Title 8. Both of
…these statistics are below the prior discussed numbers (not specific to bridge TOP, or Haitians) of 30,000 and 12,000 released to seek asylum. What we Don’t know is: how many Title 8 were/are in detention (not released to community)….
..and how many Title 8 may have then been removed under expedited removal. As of Sept 30 there were approximately 6,100 removed on 57 planes to Haiti.

I wish some people, including TV news broadcasters who usually don’t cover migration, would stop saying Biden reversed a Trump policy and began accepting unaccompanied kids. It’s not true. It is true that from March through November, 16,350 kids were expelled by Trump under T42.
… Biden did CONTINUE accepting kids when the NOVEMBER court order against expelling kids was reversed, but the reduction in % expelled actually started drifting down in August as you can see from the top graph (numbers below chart on left)…
..Then the precipitous drop with the Nov court order is evident. Then, all of Dec through March is a flat line. NO change in the % expelled. In fact, In Dec + Jan 171 were expelled and in Feb+ March 199 were expelled...

1/10 .@DHS_Wolf As promised, here are 4 more questions I would ask you at your confirmation hearing had I been invited. Feel free to answer in the comments below. I'm still waiting for answers to yesterday's questions. I will attach in this thread in case you missed them...
2/10 1. April through July you expelled 84,000 Mexicans under Title 42 (CDC order). BUT, Mexico only reports receiving 46,200 under the US repatriation agreement with Mexico. That is a GAP of almost 38,000. If we est. the full pandemic, the GAP is 52,000 people....
3/10....Where did 52,000 people disappear to? Or, are we not expelling under the repatriation agreement for Title 42? If not, is there a formal agreement? What is the agreement with Mexico to ensure documentation and humanitarian treatment? Is it available? If not, why not?
