This is a 100% serious question. Is there a method by which the legislature can compel the Governor's office to disclose the Governor's location and whether he is physically/mentally capable of running the state?
So, according to this, the legislature as a body can't do anything. The Commission on the Governorship, which is the Senate Pres, Assembly Speaker, UC President, CSU Chancellor, and Director of Finance, can inquire into such matters. Who are these ppl? law.justia.com/codes/californ…
Senate President Pro Tem = Toni Atkins, Dem
Speaker of Assembly = Anthony Rendon (who's in scotland)

Director of Finance = Keely Bosler, Newsom appointee and his chief fiscal policy advisor.

What can they do? "12072. The commission shall have exclusive authority to petition the Supreme Court to decide any questions relating to the existence of a temporary disability of the Governor." Atkins, as Senate President, would chair the commission and call meetings.
It's time we DEMAND that Sen. Atkins do her job to represent the people of California who deserve to know if Gavin Newsom is capable of performing his job.

Remembering the hour that, 3 years ago, I was powering down my computer to go to sleep but heard sirens blaring from the fire station next to my subdivision. They were headed to #Borderline where 12 innocent members of the community had been slaughtered.
I barely slept that night as it was quickly apparent that neighbors and lifelong friends were impacted. A dear friend lost her childrens' babysitter and youth leader, Noel Sparks, she'd hugged just hours earlier.
I recalled the evenings and birthdays I'd spent at Borderline, picturing the interior of the bar and imagining how people would try to escape the carnage quickly.

We now have proof that the girl did, indeed sleep w/him. Playboy's Alex Thomas dreamed up a conspiracy btwn me and the NRCC to take down his then-secret girlfriend, Katie Hill, and pub'd in his "newsletter." Katie sued me based on this fake conspiracy and lost her baseless suit🧵
...and now owes me $85k+$10k in collection costs so far. And now she's having a baby with the guy who flipped off every bit of journalistic ethics in his coverage of her and even broke federal wiretapping laws.

Laughably, Donahue's 2nd in command said the Hilux would be placed in 82nd ABN Museum at Ft Bragg, NC, as a symbol of "regaining the tactical advantage from the Taliban." To which 1 soldier said, “Nothing says American success and prosperity like a ZU-23 in the back of a Hilux.”
In 1 presser Gen. McKenzie said Taliban were not told the exact time US would be leaving Kabul airport, but in another said Donahue was "coordinating" w/a Taliban commander "abt the time that we were going to leave." Witnesses say Donahue gave Taliban manifests for last 5 flights
including passport, photo, biometric info. 50 Afghans employed by US gov't were abandoned, in addition to up to 50 more evacuees that included key HUMINT sources, SIV applicants, and their families. It's not difficult to guess what will happen to them given the info Taliban has.

In Jan '19 @GavinNewsom's spox claimed Newsom ponied up $3.7M of his own cash to buy a Sacramento estate but in July '20 the SacBee that actually, Newsom's cousin Jeremy Scherer floated them the cash b/c the Newsoms didn't have time to get a mortgage... redstate.com/jenvanlaar/202…
And instead of, I dunno, telling the sellers of the vacant home that they needed a few more wks to get a mortgage, or having the cousin purchase the house in his own name, they went through the convoluted, expensive, and tax-paperwork-intensive process of creating an LLC to...
..purchase the home. Some argue it was for privacy purposes. But the Newsoms transferred the home OUT of the LLC and into their names just 10 mos later, then got a $2.7M cashout refi. If they paid that to Scherer, where's the other million? And why is none of it on their taxes?
