2/ In the second half of the 19th century, when #IMPRESSIONISM emerged, the critics and the public agreed that the Impressionists couldn't draw.
Deviating from the norms and the conventional techniques, they were labeled as amateurs who cannot draw.
3/ Their colors were considered vulgar, the art was blamed to be a sketch, an unfinished work.

The public reacted "my kid could paint that", labeled them as vulgar, amateur, degenerate. The innovations of #abstractexpressionists led the way to many movements of the 60s.

Like many avant-garde movements before, they imagined a completely new world & a new way of seeing. The crowds reacted: "Nonsense", "I can right click and save".
13/ Influenced by many subversive movements of the past, mixing up different techniques through AI, 8-bit graphics, memes and collages; #NFTart repositioned the value of absurd, kitsch & vulgar.
