POV: It’s been a hectic few months for you and Hobi. You’ve spent more time missing him than actually being with him, so when this free long weekend miraculously appeared in both your schedules, you asked to go away somewhere together. +
You want to spend more than an hour or two with him, and you have something you need to tell him that you don’t want to be rushed.
Your second day in Saipan, you trek out to a beach near your hotel, and Hobi insists on climbing the cliff to see the view. He bounds ahead +
his energy always astounding, and when you finally reach the top, you see him already sitting on a bench, staring out at the sea, turquoise waves made opaque and velvety by the churning sand and minimal sunlight filtering through the clouds. +
POV: You’re tucked away in a cabin for the weekend, just you and Hobi, no plans except to relax together away from the demands of normal life. You’re cozied under a blanket on the couch reading when you feel his eyes on you and look up. +
He’s gorgeous, the cold winter sun streaming through the window giving him a magical glow, and your breath catches. His smile deepens, revealing his dimples, as he says, “This is perfect.” He puts his book to the side and reaches for something in his pocket. +
Your heart starts hammering as he slides off the table, coming to rest on his knees at the edge of the couch. You sit up, your skin feeling electrified by the sudden shift in the atmosphere. “Hobi, what—?” He takes the small box from his pocket and holds it up. +
