As a non Jew with a particular interest in WW2 I think the biggest mistake has been the idea of not talking about the holocost and specifically not talking freely about the lead up to it that started in 1933, so many dont understand the significance of the T4 program that
Targeted the mentally ill and handicap with forced sterilization or murder, it was T4 that did R&D for the death camps, or the 1936 Olympic Games that gave Hitler much sought legitimacy, they took down all the Juden-Frei signs just for the few weeks
In order for it to be never again we must understand the full implications and evil that was perpetrated and compare/contrast it to situations today, if we can not speak of history how can we learn of it?
