Why is Gandanta considered very dangerous? What is the definition of Gandanta? What are the consequences of being born in Gandanta? Are there any remedies?
Slow #Thread
Ganda means a knot and anta denotes the end. This is the spiritual/karmic knot that powers the creation. This maps to the Brahma Randhra or Vishnu nAbhi. If Gandanta signifies creation, then destruction must have happened prior to the Gandanta point(s).
The dissolution indicates the destruction of the Pancha tatwas, Agni, Jala, Vayu, Prithvi, and Akasha. This is followed by the start of the creation of the Pancha tatwas. Gandanta is the transition of Kala (Time) from destruction and creation. Gandanta is one of the time flaws.
The dissolution is mapped to the end of the Jala tatwa rasi's Viz. Karka, Vrischika and Meena. The cycle of end and start is cyclical and the following Agni rasi's Mesha, Simha and Dhanu are the creation points. Of these the specific nak;s are Ashwini, Magha and Mula.
The disolution points are the last parts (Pada) of Revati, Ashlesha and Jyeshta. The creation start points are 1st part (pada) of Ashwini, Magha and Mula. #KattiJyotish#Gandanta
So these are junctions where kala is under transition. People born in these junctions are caught in a kala wrap, where creation is still underway. The old has still not gone away completely while the new hasn't formed yet. This is the Karmic knot where identity is not clear.
The Gantandta junctions span 180 minutes divided into two equal halfs of 90 minutes each. Example the first 90 minutes is Jyeshta and the next 90 minutes is Mula. #KattiJyotish#Gandanta#Jyotish#astrology
Here are the junctions again.
Jyeshta - Mula (in Scorpio-Sagittarius) , (2) Ashlesha-Magha (in Cancer-Leo) and (3) Revati-Aswini (in Pisces-Aries).
The vedic term for these 180 minutes of time-space is called अभुक्त - meaning one who has not eaten/unenjoyed/lack of happiness
There are a total of 3 types of Gandanta. They are Tithi, Nakshatra and Lagna. The most common that is used in #Jyotish is Nakshatra Gandanta. #KattiJyotish
Nakshatra gandanta is when Moon is placed in end of Budha’s Nakshatra -Revati, Aslesha and Jyestha, or near the start of Ketu’s Nakshatra i.e., Ashvini, Magha and Moola. Gandanta in day born - Pitr and during night is Matr gandanta respectively. #KattiJyotish
It is clear that moon in gandanta points to the tatwa dosha - Jala and Fire. Moon being the karaka for the manas (mind, emotions, heart etc), matters related to this can manifest negatively. More so if #moon is afflicted, weak/debilitated in the natal chart. #KattiJyotish
