Oil production is being held up by the Dept. of Interior, not the Dept. of Energy. Media, you have to ask the right questions of the right person. This is all on Interior Secretary Haaland, not Energy Secretary Granholm.
The result of Interior's stalling is states like Wyoming are now producing the same amount of oil as it did last April, the shutdown month where demand was stopped cold, & 1.7m fewer barrels/day as the pre-Covid peak March 2020.
As a nation, we're producing 2m fewer barrels/day.

Interior says oil production on Federal lands will resume again... NEXT YEAR. Without Interior's interference, production can resume right now.

Media, please, can someone please pin down Interior Secretary Haaland on this? The Admin's deflection on to OPEC is transparent and ridiculous. But you gotta throw facts at them.
