A thread on the @BoredApeYC token. 160+ likes in a little over an hour means at least some people wanna hear my thoughts & I probably should do this thread tonight while it’s on my mind so here goes:

@BoredApeYC I’ve got the bullish light on in the office thanks to @NeonApesYC for hooking me up. I won’t ever forget the blue beams which started this craziness in my life, so about that token

1st off #apefest was absolutely amazing. I hate we missed the warehouse party, but we had so much fun on the yacht. We met some amazing frens, ate some awesome food, & overall had a blast in NY

That event being the kickoff of roadmap 2.0 was just perfect & according to @tropoFarmer #apefest wasn’t even scheduled to happen this year. That’s insane that the team pulled it together so quickly. We waited in long lines to get on the yacht & get merch but would do it again

With the latest airdrop of the @ensdomains token the @BoredApeYC token has been on my mind a lot over the last 24-48 hours. One thing I can say off the bat is there are a lot of things to be delivered on before the token drops

The layout of this roadmap indicates to me that the team wants to build out the story much more than they care about airdropping everyone a token, which I personally vibe with. Free tokens are great and all but

tbh they mean nothing when there is no substance behind them & the BAYC team knows that. For example the @ensdomains airdrop was valuable because it’s a meaningful protocol that is essential to the future of web3, which is why it has done well so far

@BoredApeYC could launch a token tomorrow, but without a story it means nothing. They didn't launch the OG ape NFTs without a story and they won’t launch this token without one either, which I freaking love

It seems we will even all get to meet up in Miami at the irl Bored Ape Yacht Clubhouse before a token gets released, at least I hope that’s how it goes. These irl meetups are freaking fun & a great way to build this community

In the end this is all about community. #BAYC has built an insane community & the game they are planning will be mind blowing. One of the fastest growing metaverse projects out there is @AxieInfinity

There are literally people outside of the US that are making a living playing that game. Pay to play is dead, Call of Duty just doesn’t know it yet. In a world where apps demand your attention, web3 will enable you to be paid for that

Not to mention the ownership of your digital assets. There is no reason to buy an in game skin that can’t be moved to another platform. Crypto is building #decentralized versions of this stuff now

With the insane success @BoredApeYC has had, I can imagine that their blockchain game will be no different. And then comes the DAO

So many questions come up here in my mind, but the main one I want to focus on is how it relates to the token. There are tons of other questions I want to dive into on the DAO so probably look for a future thread on it tbh

As far as how the DAO and the tokens interact, I can imagine each token will grant a vote & likely no delegating of votes will exist. I think that would be too complicated considering there is an entire #BAYC ecosystem involved

I am very excited to see the BAYC team setting up a DAO to run the ecosystem. It’s hard work running a company/project and with a project with this much steam a DAO is the perfect way to grant the community the rights to it’s future

The tokens will be such a valuable part of the future of this project. Literally every share costs $150k. Anyone who sells this token airdrop has lost it imo

There is not a more widely distributed #NFT project than the @BoredApeYC and honestly the early success the @ensdomains airdrop has had is because of that

Everyone believes in the tech of $ENS & in this case I can see everyone believing in the BAYC team so strongly that they hodl & accumulate this token strongly. I can tell you I will be buying it early & often

I think that the token presents an insane value proposition to make another bet on arguably the most successful #NFT project of the past year. It’s almost another chance to mint. Yeah count me in.

There are literally people buying dog tokens with no utility and pumping them to $30+ billion market caps & you’re telling me you plan on selling your tokens of an insanely successful #NFT project?

My early prediction of the market cap of the @BoredApeYC token is $50 billion dollars. Is that bullish enough for you?

We are talking about one of the most widely distributed #NFT projects on the planet with more blue check marks invested than many silicon valley start ups. I’m buying & if you’re smart you will be too. More threads like this to come soon 😉
