1/ My interview for @akhbar with the man who killed Osama bin Laden. 1st time he speaks to Arabic tv. I asked @mchooyah why U.S. never published pics of body of dead OBL. "I have no answer to that (...) but I know where they (the pics) are."
2/ This first interview in the Arab media with the man who killed Osama bin Laden took place via Zoom and is in English with Arabic subs.

I also asked @mchooyah to describe the moment when he faced OBL during the Abbottabad raid.

3/ Acc to @mchooyah his book on the killing of Osama bin Laden might get translated into Arabic. He also explained to me what happened after he shot OBL. "Is this the best thing I have done or the worst thing? Because I dont know what's gonna happen now."

1/ I'm in touch with sources on the ground at Pak-Afghan border at Torkham. Taliban now in control on Afghan side. I received really crazy footage of Afghan children walking in tracks of trucks to illegally enter Pakistan and sell clothes there.

2/ As you can see in the footage I obtained from Torkham border between Pakistan and Afghanistan: Border is open for traffic. Armed Taliban fighters stand on Afghan side. Afghan flag has been removed and replaced with white Taliban flag.

3/ The footage also shows Pakistani border forces on their side of the border standing only meters away from the Taliban fighters on the Afghan side. All looks pretty relaxed. The trucks you see in the report passing from Afg to Pak are mostly carrying fresh fruit.

1/ Last week ISIS woman Omaima Abdi was sentenced in Hamburg.

On Aug 3rd it's 7th commemoration of Yazidi genocide.

So this is good time to write up my personal take on how I cracked Abdi's story.

2/ As my story is in Arabic, let me tweet some parts out in English. You can of course also use google translate on the Arabic piece.
3/ When I obtained, through a source in Syria, the content of a mobile of an ISIS member, my heart was in my mouth. 1000s of pics, videos +other files. Everything was there. I knew this potentially was a big story, but I never realized it would be this big.

1/ #break German court sentenced today the ISIS woman whose Syria phone content I published to 6 extra months in jail for having used enslaved Yazidi women as she lived in Raqqa. In 2020 this ISIS woman already got 3,5 yrs so total now 4 yrs jail. Details: akhbaralaan.net/news/special-r…
2/ During the trial, ISIS woman Omaima Abdi admitted to having used enslaved two Yazidis -among them a 13 yr old enslaved girl- as she lived in Raqqa. Although Abdi blamed media for a witch-hunt against her, she eventually apologized to the Yazidi women.

3/ Abdi further stated that she wants to forget about the whole ISIS episode as soon as possible. “After I am free, I would like to set up a hairdressing studio,” she said, “And I want to be as soon as possible reunited with my four children”.

Only 10 days ago I had caesarean delivery but I must share this story:

Today in Hamburg starts 2nd trial against Omaima Abdi, German/Tunisian ISIS woman whose Syria phone I found.

Last yr she got 3.5 yrs jail. Now accused of aiding in the enslavement of 2 Yazidi girls.

في ألمانيا اليوم تبدأ محاكمة ثانية ضد أميمة عبدي، السيدة الألمانية التونسية التي نشرت محتوى هاتفها الذي كان معها عندما كانت مع داعش في سوريا.

العام الماضي حكم عليها بالسجن 3.5 سنوات. هي الآن متهمة بالمساعدة في سبي فتاتين أيزيديتين.

Controversy in #Denmark. Government wants to get rid of Syrian refugees &is offering cash if they leave Denmark. 100+ Syrian families took offer & left. Others fear for their safety in case they go back to Syria. I spoke to worried Syrians in Denmark who refuse to leave. @akhbar
Syrians I spoke to said: Danish gov offers Syrian family of 5 around $50.000 if they leave Denmark. And if you leave, Danish gov will pay child support until kids are 18 yrs. Families don't necessarily have to go back to Syria. "As long as you leave Denmark, they give money."
But although Danish gov gives financial incentives to Syrian refugees to leave, many don't want to. Main reasons I heard is that Syrians fear they are wanted in Syrian government areas. And many are already 5/6 yrs in Denmark, they want to build future there, not pack bags again.
