Honestly, as someone routinely accused of being "antipsychiatry", who is routinely in conversation with others routinely accused of being "antipsychiatry", which would include reading official UN Guidance & human rights reports because they are too! 1)

@RoseAnnieFlo @SameiHuda What's fascinating is that I know perfectly well that the comparison with antivaxx propaganda, is not actually applicable to the people who get labelled "antipsychiatry" but to the invocation of the label!
I mean, seriously, I have literally been told I'm in conspiracy with UN!

@RoseAnnieFlo @SameiHuda I have had to sit down young impressionable registrar's, for an hour, to slowly help them find their way out of a rabbit hole, after the poor thing (and poor me too) stood up in my tribunal and said I had "antipsychiatry beliefs"!

From my experience, and observations, there is a simple, worsted trick to propaganda popular in our times, whether it's Trump, Qanon, red pill (antifemimist/MRA), antivaxx, or the *belief* there's such a thing as "antipsychiatry"

The trick is always the same: take a bunch of people who have particular things in common, tell them there's a big bad threat, fill their heads with propaganda that scares them, keep them separated

@RoseAnnieFlo @SameiHuda The trick is to make it so that the target victims never listen to the people that are represented as a threat: press their buttons do that they are scared listening to that person will be a danger to them
Then, the people running the propaganda pyramid scam are your only source

@RoseAnnieFlo @SameiHuda They can say anything , no matter how ridiculous or fanciful, and tvictim base will believe them, because they are the only trusted source
What the victim base believes about the threat group is not reality
Eg: feminists do not want to enslave men, but MRAs really believe they do

But the victim base for propaganda believe they are
The ingenious twist on this particular kind of propaganda, is that there isn't a name for the victim base
The name has only been given to the threat group 🤷🏻‍♀️

@RoseAnnieFlo @SameiHuda Now, there are some people who have embraced the name "antipsychiatry" because they have been so screwed around by Psychiatry's genuinely very bad behaviour, they have decided the only thing for it is to get rid of the troublesome profession
I can relate, but I don't agree

I am not against the existence of a profession called Psychiatry, but they need to sit down and discuss the fact that we have negotiated a substantive equality treaty and they can no longer operate from a place of power or forcing people

@RoseAnnieFlo @SameiHuda Who don't want their ideas into a non-consensual relationship, governed by intergenerational predjudice, wherein own experience doesn't belong to them but dictated by stereotypes, excluded & gatekept & subjected to Prejudiced "twin law" (different rules for abled/disabled)

The propaganda is specifically designed to cut all the genuine issues out of the conversation
& Relabel them "antipsychiatry tropes"
So victim group are triggered every time these issues are raised not to take them in, but fear them & shout "antipsychiatry"

When I speak to government departments & staff
Sometimes they have been groomed into Prejudice against disabled people and against the convention
But they are beuroacrats
There are formalities to circumvent this problem

Thankfully
Sadly, what happens is the victim group is being deprived O understanding *their* rights and their responsibility to not breach others'
So they become wrongdoers
Without even knowing

@RoseAnnieFlo @SameiHuda And end up being the people blocking policy discourse that I have to complain to the government departments, and the other arms of government, and eventually the international community about
So - really, it's terrible behaviour on the part of the propagandists
