greet her with folded hands and answer her questions. MB instructs him to meet her the next day at her office. With folded hands the surgeon replies it is difficult for him to commit as he had a few surgeries lined up. CM show her displeasure & storms out.

Dr. Ghorai had made a cardinal mistake of telling the CM with folded hands that the crowd which was accompanying her was walking all over the patients & inconviencing them. Late that night the director was suspended under instructions of the CM for alleged

"misconduct & insubordination".
In 2015 attempt was made by West Bengal Medical Council headed by MB's blue-eyed boy Nirmal Maji to cancel Dr. Ghorai's registration to prevent him from carrying out his practice in pvt hospitals.

After his retirement from service his retirement dues were withheld by MB's govt. During his suspension he did not get his salary on time. Ghorai filed a case with the High Court in 2019 because the govt did not disburse his salary arrears statutory dues

& pensions. The state govt failed to carry out the High Court order. Later a division bench instructed the state health secretary to give a written undertaking that the dues would be cleared at the earliest. Ghorai's counsel was @BikashranjanBh4 .

Take away from this incident : (1) MB treats WB as her fiefdom and the citizens as her subjects. (2) MB is extremely vindictive. (3) MB thrives on sycophancy.

This one incident gave out a clear message to all sections of society. Look at our civil society, film land

The publicity that @drkafeelkhan s incident received & rightly so poor Dr. Ghorai did not get even 1% of it. A section of society whose existence depends on MB shields all her misdeeds & portrays her as our saviour.
