As the fallout over Astroworld continues with dozens of lawsuits piling up, and many of them implicating Travis Scott, fans are divided over whether or not he should carry most of the blame. buzzfeednews.com/article/michae…
For Kylie, who has been a fan of Scott since 2017 and attended the festival, Scott’s statements on the deaths at Astroworld feel insincere. She has also been critical of the partnership between Scott and BetterHelp, as it will only cover a month of services for free.
And though the chaotic nature of Scott’s concerts have been well documented, most notably in his Netflix documentary Look Mom I Can Fly, one fan was “surprised” by the number of casualties and people hurt last week.
Jerry, who is another longtime fan of Scott, was shocked by the tragedy, but didn’t necessarily believe Scott deserves all the blame.

“I feel like the only reason so many fingers are being pointed at him is because he’s the face [of the event].”
Kylie, however, feels differently.

“I feel like he needs to open up his pockets a little more and close his mouth because his statements have just come off as insensitive and not genuine to me.”

They range from guns and knives to flagpoles and a skateboard.
buzzfeednews.com/article/zoetil…
The most common charge stemming from Jan. 6 is illegally entering the Capitol — which carries a maximum one-year prison sentence.

But adding a weapons charge ups the maximum sentence to 10 years.
The most common weapons that show up in the charging documents are knives, axes, and chemical sprays. But prosecutors also say baseball bats, fire extinguishers, and police gear taken from officers were used against authorities that day.

Climate change is already costing plenty.

Researchers found that about $13 billion of the $85 - $125 billion in damages caused by Hurricane Harvey’s historic flooding can be attributable to climate change. Harvey is the second-most expensive hurricane in US history.

In July, Atlantic City lawmakers voted 7–-2 to close the city’s needle exchange against the advice of their own health director. Opponents say closing the exchange could lead to a public health disaster. buzzfeednews.com/article/danver…
The South Jersey AIDS Alliance/Oasis Drop In Center, is the city’s only — and New Jersey’s largest and oldest — needle exchange program. It serves 1,200 people a year and also provides the overdose-reversing drug naloxone, wound care, drug dependence treatment and HIV screening.
The city’s public health director, who is a veteran of the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, opposed Oasis’s closure, citing the risks of an HIV or hepatitis outbreak.
