Orders that more colleges should not be started without the express leave of the court.
Judges say the Govt had bulldozed through the proposal to start four colleges. Says it will be a condition precedent for the colleges to impart a stream of instruction in Hindu religion, if it had not been done so already.
Passes the interim orders and calls for counter affidavit from HR&CE department within three weeks.

He says Mr. Vijay is ready to pay the tax. He only wants expunging of "unjust" remarks made by single judge and to set aside costs of Rs.1 lakh

Madras HC directs Centre to take a decision by tomorrow on revised allocation of 475 tonnes of oxygen to TN. Passes the order after TN Health Secretary says the revised quantum was agreed upon by the Centre but a release order issued on May 5 did not include TN. @the_hindu
TNMSC Secretary P. Umanath told the court that the reserve oxygen in TN will last only till tomorrow and that there might be a shortage from Saturday, despite the State producing 400 tonnes a day, if the Centre does not release the agreed upon revised allotment.
Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee and Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy order that the Centre should take a decision by tomorrow on releasing adequate amount of oxygen to TN and that there should be equitable allocation between all States.
