NEW - Over a three-day period, B.C. is reporting 1,270 new cases of COVID-19 for a total of 213,020 cases in the province:
Nov. 12-13: 502 new cases
Nov. 13-14: 387 new cases
Nov. 14-15: 381 new cases

There are 3,837 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
376 individuals are in hospital and 116 are in intensive care.

NEW - British Columbia has the first case of AY 4.2. This is a Delta variant evolution. It is seen as potentially more transmissible. The vaccine works against it. #bcpoli
Dr. Henry says this mutation has been found in the UK and is not yet it's own variant of concern. #bcpoli
Henry - "What we are looking is whether these variants are spreading more quickly or are making people sicker."

NEW - There has been a slide near Lillooet where more than 50 cars are trapped. #bcpoli
There has been an additional slide near Hague Lake. It is unknown how many cars are trapped. #bcpoli
Environment Canada says the conditions 'have been historic'. Says the average rain for November has occurred in just 48 hours. Most of the rain has stopped but big wind gusts are coming. #bcpoli

NEW- The B.C. Government has introduced legislation that if passed would ban protests blocking services at schools, hospitals and vaccination clinics. There is a clause in the bill to add additional areas. #bcpoli
This legislation would allow picketing in these areas. #bcpoli
The proposed legislation will protect hospitals, COVID-19 test and vaccination centres, and K-12 schools by establishing 20-metre (66 feet) access zones around them. #bcpoli
