🟠🌤 A big welcome to Thorngumbald parish councillor Ben Munro, who has defected from the Labour Party to Breakthrough.
🥀 “Labour has lost its direction and is no longer effective in challenging the Government. There is too much looking back instead of looking forward and until that changes, Labour will continue to lose members.”
🟠🌤️ “Breakthrough has strong policy ideas & is an alternative left party for those who feel politically homeless at the moment. It’s still in its infancy but in 10 months has come a long way & with development, strategy & continued growth, will offer people a real alternative.”
🗣 @AlexMays90: When I spoke to Ben his enthusiasm & commitment for his local community really shone through. He will bring fantastic experience from his work in the public sector, trade unions & local govt, which will help us take the party to the next level.”
If you’re a socialist Labour councillor who’s fed up with the direction in which Keir Starmer is taking the party or you’re already running as an independent & looking for a new political home, email info@breakthroughparty.org.uk or drop us a DM.
