They tried it, they keep trying us —and we have risen up to smack their tacky asses back down. Ain’t nobody letting them slide. KHive was on the case (love y’all) but it wasn’t just us.

I read folks disses of the #KHIVE. To be honest I don’t give a damn how you feel about #KHIVE. From my perspective we are the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense on social media. We will have her back, her front and her side.

If you stand by & let this insidious campaign against her happen without opening your mouths you are part of the problem & not part of the solution. I don’t give a damn who you supported in the primary. I don’t want to read bs speculation about 2024. We have a fight to fight now!

We have a whole lineup of white supremacist, insurrectionist traitors aiming at overthrowing all we hold dear, gerrymandering us out of position, embracing racism, talking about burning books, banning abortion and birth control, TAKING AWAY OUR RIGHT TO VOTE, spreading COVID...

...applauding white murderers of Black citizens, & a white murderer who killed white people who stood up for Black folks…& some of you want us to sit quietly, stand idly by and let these people undermine a POTUS & his MVP who helped put him where we needed him to be? Oh HELL No!

CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, WAPO...they are all part of this. For the clicks. Those clicks ain’t worth us dying for.

All I can say is I’m gonna keep doing what I’ve been doing since I was eligible to vote. I voted today. For Democrats. The media circus trying to do click bait horse race shit ain’t gonna interview me in the local diner.

I know that Republicans don’t want me or mine to vote. That’s what voter suppression bills are all about. If the Black vote was irrelevant they wouldn’t expend so much energy trying to suppress us.

How many of you know people who you formerly respected politically for their activism, especially in our Black and Brown communities, who are now pedaling right wing, anti-vax ct, who don't seem to see they are contributing to killing our people?

I'm really, really angry and disgusted that there are people I've known for over 50 years, former Young Lords and Panthers, and members of other similar movement groups who are now posting crap that is also being sent out by QAnon and the Klan.

I'm also pissed that some of my comrades are excusing them. They have disagreed with them privately- but are letting the anti-vaxx shit slide. Silence about it = death for too many of our people. These are folks who say they are radicals/revolutionaries/progressives.

Folks. Stop the crabs in a barrel crap. Celebrate winning a victory - Juneteenth as a National holiday, and then organize and strategize on how we use this to educate. Far too many of our children don't know history - and how it has shaped systemic racism today.

Obviously, having a holiday ain't gonna fix the deep problems we face - you know what they are so I am not gonna enumerate them here. The holiday is an educational tool - use it. Don't forget to thank grassroots folk who have been pushing for this. Celebrate Mrs. Opal Lee.

No one on the left likes the g-damn Patriot Act. I survived COIN-telpro, many of my comrades did not. However, let's talk priorities - health care for close to a million people in PR and USVI and funding for children's food trumps showboat "no" votes in my book.

So you joined "the overwhelming majority of Republicans voted against the continuing resolution" which sends a real message to those of us who are trying desperately to save lives. This ain't a game. Conditions on the islands for those who depend on Medicaid are dire.
