Scott Paul: It's a major achievement to get a $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill across the finish line. Many Presidents have talked about it but Pres. Biden delivered. Some Republicans voted YES on it, too.

Scott Paul: I think it's good for Pres. Biden to be heading to areas where there's a need & where the infrastructure bill will help them meet those needs. Roads, bridges, elec. vehicle charging stations, & so much more.

Scott Paul: High-speed internet will help with education, Main Street businesses in Small Town America, agriculture, rural areas, & underserved urban areas.

Scott Paul: For the first time, those Buy America provisions will require iron, steel to be made in America. The @steelworkers & others made a big plea for this over the summer, saying they're ready to provide the necessary materials.

Scott Paul: Pres. Biden will not only be an Infrastructure President but also a Buy American President.

Scott Paul: We've begun the work but we need to sustain it as well. The one-time shot in the arm we tried during the Great Recession didn't quite work b/c we need sustained investment.

Scott Paul: Pres. Biden will taut GM's investment in electric vehicles (EV). We need to make sure those EV batteries come from plants here in the U.S., not from China.

Scott Paul: I understand Biden raised the issue of the Uighurs with Xi Jinping during their phone call. That's something Trump wouldn't have mentioned.

Scott Paul: We'll send the message that Pres. Biden will stand up to China when he needs to. He won't be transactional with China like Trump was.

Scott Paul: These companies so overleveraged themselves in China; many like retain companies are completely dependent on China for their products. That has to unwind & be exposed. We need to sanction if China benefits from forced labor & we need to ban those items

Scott Paul: I hope Pres. Biden has a diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics. The athletes have worked hard to get there & shouldn't be denied the chance to compete, but we don't want the Olympics sponsored by Coca Cola & Uighur genocide.
