India Willoughby on LBC. Trans people are 0.5 percent of the population.

Also, IW - we don't see enough trans people on the TV.

Ian Dale can only name two trans people in the whole of the UK. India Willoughby and Paris Lees. This is proof that trans people are an oppressed minority.

IW complaining that he hasn't been on TV that much this year because of transphobia.

Dale however is hoping to get trans people on the line. But is enough of the trans population listening? (Remember they are just 0.5 percent of the gen pop)

JF agrees. Says that the anti-wave started 4 years ago, and says that we are just busy bodies who can't mind their own business.

JF says there is a plenty of research that kids have gender identity at 3-4 yo. There has to be gradual adaptation. Change clothes, pronouns and what spaces they go into. Also chemical intervention later.

'Josephine' calling in about healthcare. He transitioned 59 yo, and after gaming the system he got everything done within 1-2 years. However, now claims the waiting list is 5 years and then there is a wait list after that before hormones are started. Therefore the wait is more

8 years.

IW there are no fast track sex change factories, unless you go private. Waiting list too long, flies in face of the rhetoric that is presented.

JF says that yes if you go private it can be 13 months, as he did himself. Advises against doing it abroad.

JF: Trans people suffering delays in NHS! Worse for trans guys because the 'bottom surgery' contract lapsed. No other demographic suffering like this.

Fionne asking whether we should readdress mantras from TWAW to being transsexual males and that women are separate to that.

IW: Disagrees and not different. Lots of evidence for this. Chromosones change. For first 6-8 weeks of all males lives are spent as female. So we

all have sex changes. Androgen receptors are basically aerials. IW very much an expert. When you look at people with 11 fingers, ?? are we totally infallible. Trans people fork off in slightly different direction.

Fionne responds that this has to be induced chemically though, you are still male. Dysphoria is a MH issue. Children are being rushed through system.

JF: We. Are. NOt. Rushing children through. And not keen on having a discussion like this.

IW: You are entitled to your

views. And I knew since I was 5 or 6.

JF: I knew since i was 7 or 8.

Dale: Fionne was touching on linguistic problem - like 'woman' is now an issue? LP chucked someone out for saying only woman have menopause.

IW: Should be open to different arguments. In the past I dismissed non-binary people. Now I realise their existence doesn't impact me.

JF: No one is saying you cannot say woman. It is only about offering trans men an alternative. It's just blown up by tabloids.
