Modi's speech about the repeal of Farm Laws was one of the craftiest worded speech I have ever heard, in which...
(1/n)
- He stressed on how the Farm Laws were for the benefit for the farmers, when they actually weren't
(2/n)
- He stressed on how numerous efforts were made by the Government to hold talks with the farmers, while in reality the Govt was ignoring them for one year and Modi himself didn't meet them even once.
(3/n)
- He stressed how majority of the farmers were pro-farmlaws and how it was only a small section of farmers who were against it, which is actually the exact opposite
(4/n)
- He highlighted that the bill was in favor of the poor farmers, insinuating that it was rich, overloaded with money, farmers who were funding the protests for their monetary benefits
(5/n)
- He complained how the Farmers didn't get convinced despite his best efforts, while in reality, there were no efforts made to convince the farmers, none of their points were addressed.
(6/n)
- He talked about how he was ready to amend the bills, but he failed to mention that he never wanted to give any guarantees on MSP which was one of the crucial demands of the farmers.
(7/n)
- He said how he was withdrawing the laws for the benefit of the nation, where as it was clear that he was repealing them due to his drop in popularity in the states of Pun, Haryana and UP, where the farmers weren't even allowing his BJP leaders to enter into their villages.
(8/n
- His apology was also to the Nation, to clarify that he did the best for the farmers but their egos wouldn't let it happen. It wasn't an apology to the farmers, 700 of whom died in this protest, along with the few that were mowed down by his own Minister's son.
(9/n)
Modi tried to carefully paint a picture of his benevolence making it into his generous pull back, rather than the farmers resolve
(10/n)
The fact remains that the moment Modi manages to recover his lost image, he will come back at the farmers.......this time with a vengeance.
(11/n)
Be careful of the fox that shows a sincere interest in prolonging the life of the poultry.

So, Modi has declared that the Govt will be taking back all the 3 Farm Laws in the upcoming session of the Parliament.
He says he has arrived at this decision because he was unable to convince some of the farmers of the benefits of the #FarmLaws.
(1/n)
The fact is that Modi FAILED in pushing the Farmers into a corner
- He tried to push them back for one full year but they didn't buckle down.
- More than 700 farmers died but they didn't give up
(2/n)
- A ministers son drove his car over them, but they did not back off
- He tried to arrest them but that didn't work
- He lathi charged them with his Police but they stood and endured it without moving an inch

Vir Das has touched beautifully upon the two Indias that we have, but there is a third India that he missed out on.
(1/n)
The third India which toils daily to get their meals and goes to bed on a pavement dreaming of waking up in an Antilia someday only to be mowed down by a privileged drunk.
(2/n)
The third India which gets down in the gutters to clean up the crap of everyone else so that they can afford to keep their families healthy.

Bholu Bhakt: NRC will not affect Indian Muslims. All disenfranchised Muslims can apply for citizenship under the Citizenship act and become citizens by process of naturalization.

Me: So can all Hindus. They can do the same. So why the need of CAA, scrap it. (1/4)
Bholu Bhakt: CAA is to help minorities which are persecuted in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. They deserve special treatment because they have been harassed.

Me: So why exclude persecuted minorities like Ahmedis, Baha'is, Bihari Muslims, Sufis, Hazaras,Atheists? (2/4)
Bholu Bhakt: But Muslims have so many Islamic countries to go to. Why come to India?

Me: Hindus have also so many countries to go to. US, Entire Europe, Australia, New Zealand and almost every democratic country in the world grants citizenship to Hindus. Why come to India? (3/4)
