The study states that increases in cardiac inflammatory biomarkers increased in “most” patients out of a sample of 566 people. This should be very concerning and is not a “rare” finding.
One of the biomarkers that was significantly elevated was IL-16 that also plays a role in cancer. “This represents the first observation where a single cytokine is processed resulting in both an intracellular and extracellular role in cancer cell growth”researchgate.net/publication/25…
