The voice of Lisa Ortiz is Lina Inverse for a lot of people, so it was important for J-Novel to get her for the audiobooks. Other audiobooks for other series may be more of a mix of voice actors for those series and other professionals though.

Of course, based @microwaevy wouldn’t pass up the opportunity at the Q&A to ask about licensing the Dendrogram side-stories. 😂

The hardest thing the J-Novel panelists have had to translate are The Tatami Galaxy anime and for Kristi it was a manga for One Peace Books, Farming Life in Another World, where it was difficult to translate oni in a context where it was a discriminatory term in the world.

Someone asked if they could translate The adventures of soda Nobunaga, which is *only* 20 volumes. Historical works don’t usually do well but they know it has its fans and are always looking to diversify, so they’ll evaluate it.

Isekai crowd pleasers they’d recommend to newbies are Ascendence of a Bookworm and In Another World with my Smartphone.

Follow up question from someone who didn’t like the smartphone anime was wondering whether the original novels weren’t that good either and if @DistantValhalla actually rewrote Smartphone novels so they were better! 😂 Much praise for Steiner’s translations of comedy!

They prefer to avoid publishing spin-offs of a series they don’t already do. The question asker was wondering about the Yuki Yuuna novels specifically, which she feels are important to understanding the series. They said they may look into those since they are Kadokawa books.
