This is sadly becoming a too common story country wide! I believe GP’s when they say they are working harder than ever but the truth is it’s ‘harder than ever’ for patients to access them! The e-consult is NOT efficient or effective in many cases & certainly not accessible
and this is why people would rather go to A&E where they know they may have hours to wait but at least they WILL be seen eventually! There is no after care for those who’ve had surgery & community care is patchy at best leading to people sent home without support
or left in hospital awaiting a suitable care package that doesn’t happen! All these services are stretched beyond belief & trying to do a 1st class job with little or no resources! Apportioning blame fir this situation doesn’t/won’t change anything!!
